All good, question what you don't know, that the only way to learn IMO.

When your internodes(leaf sprouting/ branching point) are close together, a result of ample light, it is easy to snap the stem rather than just bend it. When you feel they are ready, gently but firmly hold the central stem and about 2 inches up the stalk, or at the next internode, twist it to at least 90°, there are times i twist to a full 180° depending on how firm the stem is. When you twist the stem it stretches the plant fibers making them less prone to snap when bending them over. I don't lst till they have 5 or 6 nodes, then it's a 90° bend for the meristem and spreading out the satellite branches for air movement and light penetration

You could, the one on the left shouldn't have issues the others still look a little short to start. How were you going to bend them? What are you thinking of using to secure them?

I've cut a couple i just bent last night. But I've been letting them do their own thing for 6 ish weeks, so they were almost 2 ft tall. I'll try to get pics, no promises.

I feel I should add I've used everything from padded wire to pipe cleaners to bare copper wire to weighted fishing hooks. There are a lot of ways to train them.

Should I raised the light will that make them stretch more? Is that better to have the not so stacked up or what? Thanks everyone for replying! I have so 12" pipe cleaners and some u shaped wire and a roll of plastic covered wire that came with my tent kit.

Just took these pictures maybe I should have the light farther away from them? To make them taller but I have it where it is too get a par of 570 to 600?20220623_200747.jpg20220623_200752.jpg20220623_200758.jpg

This is an old thread so probably won't matter but if anyone's knew to tying branches down, LST, make sure those ties or wires are nice and loose holding the branches down. Imagine wearing a rubber band around your wrist that's waaay too tight.
