It's a macbook air. No cd/dvd drives. It didn't come with any cd's either. All downloads were online.

haha no brother that's not bad. idk if you have ever called apple but there are some internal documents floating around that speaks of this type of issue. i would call and see what's available to you, idk if you have the APP but this may be covered under the warranty. seems like an emerging issue.

I had a mac that did something similar.I had to download a torrent of the os and reinstall it.This was on a old powerbook though.
