Making a mother?

Is it okay to make a mother out of a feminized seeds clone? Does this affect the genetics?
These are Gelat OG clones from a clone from a feminised seeds plants that i'm growing currently This is how i usually keep strains a live that i really like.

Some strains are really picky tho and can turn hermie if you stress them to much so be careful about that.

I’m severely misinformed then - how should I be making feminized seeds?

edit: I’m not asking to be sarcastic, but genuinely lol. I know there are a few ways people go about it, mine has been the colloidal silver spray on a female branch for about a week, week and a half and use the pollen on a secondary female’s branch to get feminized seeds. To be fair I use clones and not the original mother/“father” but it’s been fun and worked for me pretty well so far

you should read some more about this stuff cuz your first post on that new acct is incorrect. That's not how feminized seeds are made.
Actually you spray Collidal silver on a female flowering plant for it to develop male pollen sacks.

you collect that male pollen and dust it on a different female plant or plants.

Hey presto feminised seeds.

so in real terms you are breeding a female with another female lol.

I'm new on the forum so I can't like your post yet, but thank you for adding this. There's so much info and different ways of doing things, and so much new research and theories with everything legalizing I was wondering if I was making my friend cancer seeds or something lol

wow hold up there cowboy.

I didn’t come after you I simply explained the process and said that in real terms you are breeding a female with another female.

calm down mud balls.

I'm wondering if we're being trolled for the reaction count lol, I feel anyone who does understand the step by step process behind reversing a female plant to create male pollen in order to produce feminized seeds (regardless of the actual chemical used to do so) would understand the general terms I used and remember the disclaimer i'd added to my original post stating that I'd described an oversimplification of the process. Either it's trolling or someone's being nitpicky about something they don't understand or weren't inherently trying to be helpful about correcting a perceived misunderstanding and felt like trying to tear down someone else to feel good. Mudball's verbage also makes me think they were trying to diss me by calling me new or genuinely thought I was a new grower, meaning that they were willful and hopeful in their intent to mentally or emotionally harm the confidence of an inexperienced grower. It bums me to consider that this is likely not an isolated event and how far it may have been taken in the past on others. But to be fair, I could have too much time on my hands and be looking too deeply into things lol

Don’t take it too personally.

Shit has to roll off your back here otherwise you’ll get dragged into keyboard warrior tactics.

When people see a newly created account they automatically assume a new grower.

Which is not always the case and you can usually pick that out within the first few posts of the new user.

I read your over simplification which is why I felt I had to comment and say about the fact that ultimately you’re breeding 2 females together lol.

don’t know why @mudballs got so butt hurt by it.

I even ended it with Laugh out loud because I thought @Punsnroses420 was spot on with the over simplification lol.

Unfortunately I'm still lacking in knowledge on the subject but I am extremely interested! I've got a ways to go until I get there lol. Still trying to get healthy grows under my belt indoors.

They tend to be rather emotional. They made a big deal about blocking me on another thread. I don't remember why. And I don't even care.

sorry for the terrible picture but this is what that little monster cropped Skywalker looks like on the shelf I need to take some cuttings soon. The other 1gal on the shelf is a clone off my current run same strain Skywalker OG from Nirvana seeds.IMG_20210728_133623.jpg

Why are people not always using fem seeds then when pheno hunt for a good mother?
You'll get good pheno's from feminized seeds and first generation regular seeds. You'll find keepers in both.

I guess some of my most potent and vigorous plants all been first generation regs. But I've also found amazing stuff and kept mom's from fems.

You seem very uptight for being a pot smoker. Relax dude, welcome and sit down in the boat.

Perfectly fine to keep a Fem as a mom if you like the buds produced.
Nature occasionally produces Fems as a last resort when stressed too badly, guaranteeing a next generation to preserve the line.
Be aware that if you breed with it, you are at a disadvantage, because a Fem is generally missing the male chromosome and your scion are thusly narrowed in potential.
To make a Fem, a female plant is reversed chemically and the male pollen produced is used to fertilize the female flowers. Selfing, it is called.
Hermaphrodites exposed the proclivity in the plant.
