making vape carts at home

Been doing a lot of research on vape carts. Originally the plan was to start with rosin, but it seems that its just not the best option since you need to winterize which kinda defeats the purpose of pressing in the first place. I already have my rosin press and its making some awesome dab material, but it sounds like most guys going the rosin route end up wasting a lot of concentrate and carts trying to make this work.

So first question, has anyone had good success making reliable good tasting carts out of rosin that dont clog halfway through vaping them? Second question, if rosin isnt the best route, whats the next best option for making carts that doesnt involve hundreds of dollars worth of equipment? Id be willing to try bho if thats a feasible option for carts, but i know nothing about that, maybe no better than rosin. Whats my best option without huge investment? Lets say 500 dollars or less, best method to make vape carts.

I just open blast BHO. I add some liquidizer to the wax mix the crap out of it and fill my carts

is bho cleaner than rosin to begin with? like less wax, lipids etc? bho would be nice since i could make use of all the sugary trim i have that cant really be squished. I could always do bubble with that though. Thats another option, bubble hash, squish in rosin press, go from there. Id like to avoid the liquidizer if possible

Sugary trim just gives you a lot of low grade product

Are you referring to bho? Or all extraction methods in general? What if it is further processed, like winterization? Still not worth using trim?

Any other recommended methods for good vape carts. How are commercial carts done? Always distillate with flavor added?

My experience is the product isn't good enough a legal state unless you use the buds

Buds but use the little popcorn ones or do whatever. I had nice bho from trim but it wasn't very strong so I only use buds

Mainly just distillate

Lately ive been seeing that rosin carts are getting super popular, just wish i knew how they did it. I saw one company online that has 3 versions of carts. Just plain flower rosin, hash rosin, and live hash rosin. So it seems even the less clean flower rosin can be reliable in a cart but i dont know what they are doing to prepare it and what they are putting it in. Maybe winterizing, but doesnt winterization take it closer to a flavorless concentrate similar to distillate? Or is there still plenty of terpenes after winterization? Also maybe they have specific types of carts that can handle the rosin like consistency. Maybe ill send out some emails to multiple companies doing rosin carts and see if anyone is willing to release some hints on how to do it right, but i kinda doubt anyone will release info that isnt common knowledge

Found a couple of ytubes that looked neat like gobo that grazed the surface. With safety concerns it's comforting to know why some things just come out better with attention to quality. I'm guessing that's why I found great vape at a MI dispensary. They said they would sell me more carts than money I had in my pocket. Went with a 7/10 sale and walked out with three carts under $100. All tested and super tasty. Not sure if I can outdo that.

Flower rosin alone will not work in a vape cart. I'm pretty sure rosin cart makers thin it with terpenes.
