Male Hermaphrodite. Keep or destroy?

I'm uncertain what to do about this plant. I came across articles that state that male hermaphrodites are rare and that not much is known the plants and about the seed outcome from them. Should I let it pollinate itself or chop it?

is this a plant that appeared male, then started throwing pistils?
the dividing line with male/female in cannabis sometimes gets murky

a couple balls and mostly pistils would be a female herm
a couple pistils an mostly balls is a male herm
they come in male and female

anyting dats herm from the beginning is gonna produce herms
anyting dat is reg from beginning and terns herm from stress will produce femed seeds
a male herm that terned will also produce femed seeds if used on a true female not a herm

a fact

lol abomination..... definitely chop it... my plant went down the same road... and cause i am so stubborn i kept it one side and attempted to smoke it.... big mistake... i can still taste that horrible flavour :spew:

This is a Nirvana Papaya plant that started off as male but some of the branches show pistils. It's very odd. This is why I'm really wondering if I should chop it.

It's a 100% male that is now making small amounts of pistils. It's really odd. I'll get some pics.

it is not that odd we just see mostly female herms

was it a herm on its own all da while

or was it a male and it got stressed

cause the first choice will produce nutin but herms
an the second will produce femed seeds

which one was it - dah da dah dah dah da dah

It was a male all the way and suddenly developed pistils. I chopped 3 males already that showed no hermaphrodite traits, so it can't be stress. If it isn't stress what will the seed outcome be? Also.. This is a strain from Nirvana which many state are junk. I've come across many threads that Nirvana makes unstable strains but they are budget seeds for a beginner and will get you high. Thoughts?

I had nothing but trouble with a female cindy, and I screwed the light schedule a few times, it hermied. Im glad this time, Im about to have a little batch of cindy seeds to grow. I took a sac, put it on a lower bud that still has all its white hairs, and Im hoping that it seeds that bud.

I like growing seeds better anyhow, they seem more vigorous, and it's easier to train a plant that hasn't started alternating its nodes yet. Symmetry I guess.

Come to think about it, I had nothing but trouble from a Jessica too, but that's a completely different story. Shoulda quit giving her nutes a long time before I did.

like dwez said, not that uncommon at all. most people kill the males before they can show herm tendencies, hence why people might think there rare.
