Fine. As I said, you don't need to explain yourself. You can be as vague as you like.

Just don't be so upset when people interpret your vague statements in a way you don't like.
There is nothing happening on internet forums that is going to cause me to be upset.

If I'm vague maybe it's by design. We're both just anonymous entities having a discussion. Nothing that's going to have any impact on how either of our lives or anything that's going to change the dynamics of politics in today's world.

I will say that at least our discussions have been civil. Disagreements yes but that a given. This is how it used to be years ago. Things have become so toxic these days regarding politics. It's just ridiculous.

I do appreciate your civility which is something that seems to be disappearing.

:peace:

trump realizes the crap he started and at the last minute wants to distance himself from his doing.

He can kiss my smelly ass. He opened up a hornets nest and it's all on him and that's how history is going to portray it. Too late for him to save any legacy he hoped to have. He'll forever be known as a traitor and the worst President in the history of the United States. There is no path to redemption for what he's done. He lit the match knowing full well the fire it would start.

He's like the kid that played with matches, burned down the family house, and then says "I'm Sorry."

Fuck him

It’s no longer just that man.
Republicans are fielding and funding maga (= overthrow party) candidates. So while that man is being marginalized as a probable series of indictments continues to develop, the GOP as an organization has become nakedly antirepublican.

There is a need for a party of moderate actual conservatives, of whom Eisenhower was the last, which also has room for centrists, allowing the Democrats to concentrate on an agenda of more social democracy which the conservatives wouldn’t oppose by attempts at moral suasion.
n.b. neither Reagan or either Bush were conservatives. I discoursed on that last night.

The new party would be carefully sanitized of libertarians, and of Reaganoids.

No argument from me. I can see what's happening.

This is now the Republican party. Dumb, dumber, and dumber. Not to mention all the crap they spew. It's pathetic. Makes Cheney look like a saint. That Matt Gaetz might be decades younger than me but I'd challenge him to a cage match any day. Guaranteed I'd walk out while that punk was still crawling around on his hands and knees trying to find his teeth.

And as far as Cheney goes she might be from the "Other" side to many but she's shown that she still has some common sense. She knew she was going to lose her seat opposing trump but she did it anyway. We need more Liz Cheney Republicans. Wyoming doesn't matter anyway.

Fucking know nothing ignorant fools. Who the hell votes for these idiots? This proves that the term "Dumb Americans" is justified. I'm embarrassed that morons like this can be elected in this country. These are stupid people. Boebert didn't even graduate from High School.

i was skeptical about him at first, but Jon Stewart is actually looking pretty viable...pair him with Newsom, or Warren, or Klobuchar and they could give who ever the republicans put up a hell of a run.
Pair him with Michelle Obama, and i think they could win pretty handily.
Agree I have been following for what feels like decades, and he has never been on the wrong side of the target.

It deepens my hypothesis that we are psychologically bistable, and that cultish manipulations can cause a durable divorce from common sense in people who had no or little malicious intent.

It is child's play to convict Trump and send him away for the rest of his life over this one case alone. Garland has Trump by the balls, no question about it and could do him tomorrow if he wished. Now, how close does Mitch and the establishment GOP want to get to him and how much do they want to carry his water over this. Indict him, convict him and then impeach him over it again and let the republicans carry his water one last time before the election, after he is convicted by a court of law and is doing time. Hey he says he wants to run again in 2024, so he will have brought the impeachment on himself and Mitch.

Donald has magical powers, he has the power to spin his own reality and sell it to morons and has great power over the hate filled and weak minded. He even has power over us too, he can turn schadenfreude from a vice into a virtue!

My God does not have horns and tail, nor is he The Father Of Lies.
well...actually...satan is a fallen angel. god made the angels, and god is perfect, so he apparently intended for satan to question him, and find the answers lacking...setting satan up for his "father of lies" moniker. applying any logic to the situation (which is an odd statement, in and of itself) god set satan up to be his opponent, and mercilessly influenced and coerced him into that role...so who is the father of what?
