Make society worse? Repercussions? Do you not understand that alcohol is already legal? How could you make such a fuss when there is already a substance thats legal and has been doing the exact negative things you speak of from day 1? How much worse could it possibly get? Explain to me 1 repercussion that legalizing marijuana will have that alcohol has not already done. Don't worry, ill wait......

I don't think people should have to rely on anything. These substances should be provided when they are needed, and not be for show.

LOL, this is just too funny. Well, let's see.... I am 42 and still smoke. Smoked as a teen, graduated high school and joined the military. I did not touch it for 4 years while serving my country. I am a veteran of war and fought for my rights. While in the military I drank and it replaced weed... until I almost got alcohol poisoning from it, my friend did get it (we were both in the military). I hardly touch that stuff at all. hrm.. been smoking for a long time now and have had to stop due to money reasons and getting a job. In fact I am, and have been, dry for the past few months. Though I am growing out one plant as it is my first time and well... bud porn turns me on LOL. My wife always chides me cause I will stare at a sack with good shit in it for hours. I have money again and could easily get it, but do I? No, because of stupid drug tests that in my opinion should not even include cannabis. While in the military I lived in Germany, got out of the military and stayed there, and drank the most ever (when I was close to alcohol poisoning). Once I got out I worked at a German company (no testing there) and stopped drinking and only smoked. Some can't drink, some can't smoke. Kudos to those who can go through life without something to help cope with this crazy planet, but try going to war and the fun things that come with it and live in this fun planet. Sorry, but I will stay medicated. I watched my wife almost die due to prescription drugs (different ones prescribed and being a Guinea pig with the mixture) and to see just how much people are dependent upon pharmaceuticals.. hell we can't even get a good nights sleep without something. I have done very well not smoking for the past couple of months, but I will enjoy what I (and mother nature) produce. Legal or not, it is still my privacy and medicine....

Unfortunetly using alcohol as comparision was a bad choice. Do you know it's illegal to distill spirits in the united states.Yes let's legalize the consumption of marijuana and you know some big coporate will own the rights to produce it. Poor med growers will be shit out of luck. No more grow for you, just buy it and if you don't have the money oh well.
How much do you think tobacco companies, alcohol distillaries, and other corporations finance the legalize movement. I bet you would be surprised at how much they contribute. I'm sorry I like to get stoned but my hubby depends on it and I'll defend his right to consume and grow before I do my own.

It's not going to be legalized any time soon. Obama screwed everyone by making us think he was cool and turned out to be nothing more than another establishment dickhead. Romney has already been straight up and said he will not legalize it. It's a political issue and nobody wants to be the one to make that decision - not until 75% of America is toking up. And like BigBillyRocka said, the big time growers, smugglers, and dealers don't want it legalized because the prices will go down. When it does get legalized I can assure you that companies like R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co, etc. will be first and foremost geared up completely. I bet they will ultimately be the ones to tell the govt when they want it legalized and will be able to position themselves to benefit the most. And of course then you'll have your rich uncle Sam digging deeper into your pockets to extract the last remaining coins for their taxes on the pot, not to mention massive regulation.

Hmm, i dont think it should be legal. Itll only fatten our govs pockets and as we all can see they are very loose with there money starting unecessary wars and shit. Id rather the drug dealers and patients get money than them. They arent helping us only themselves. I cant believe yall cant see this is a trap. Marijuana is best where its at. In our hands. The gov regualtes everything to shit.
Alcohol is a GREAT example. Cigs to. Both kill to many people and are legal. MJ dont kill no one. Just gives people an amzing hobby. If its legalized, there going to fuck us. Hard. I have no proof of this. But our gov sucks, america as a whole is pretty bad. Marijuana is one of our last great treasures. Legalizing it will spoil its name. It should just be free and avaliable to all. NO ONE SHOULD REGUALTE IT.
Besides monsanto will end up growing it all and then we'll end up smoking overly priced, low grade, genetically modified marijuana strains. Ill grow my own thank you :)

People who wanna legalize it are fools. Here's the truth.
A. The gov is lowering legal limits for all so
B. Theyll have stricter laws for people over this limit which will
C. Fill the jails with more people and more fines so
D. They can fatten there pockets more and tax the shit outta the kush which will
E. Increase underground trafficing and inevitably (refer to B-E again)

Not to mention the completely ridiculous DUI limit which will screw so many people. I forsee alot of duis. Two duis makes you a felon and felons lose alot of rights...like voting for instance >.>
On the plus side, you'll be able to smoke your overly priced kush while your catchin the bus...

I have caregivers card to legally grow it for my patients... my patients are family. Im on here cause majority of people on here are established growers and im pretty much noob grower still. Besides, i like learning new things hands on. Ive been hooked since the first plants started. Lol. Also, cause my siblings are potheads and will be pinching buds off before done and think of it as the "cool" factor for friends. I dont look at it that way. Even though its legal for me to do i would still see cops arresting me even when in my limits to be dicks. So my patients trust i have no interest in the weed itself.

MJ should be legal like grapes are. It is not illegal to grow grapes to make wine for personal consumption in the United States. It is only illegal if you sell the wine but not illegal to sell the grapes. Then of course it is illegal if you act irresponsibly and drink your wine to the point of intoxication and get behind the wheel. Which there should be limits on drinking and smoking and everything else like there is to now protect the public, there isn't anything wrong with that. Rather than comparing MJ to alcohol if you compare it to something truly similar you see Legalization is quite simple. The Legalization of MJ is coming and once it is if your growing any regulations imposed won't really matter to you anyway. The reason Legalization has taken so long is because the only way to regulate MJ was to make it more convenient for consumers to buy the taxed/regulated product rather than just growing their own. The Prohibition made sure this was not possible because so many people have just grown their own and will continue to. That's why the Medical spin was allowed to take off, anyway this is my rant and just one of my many opinions.

And all the dummies who got their medical marijuana cards are IN THOSE ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD DATABASES.

Just wait until obama gets elected again by stupid hipster doofeses, he'll open up those databases to the state and county officials, and all those "legal MMJ" idiots will be getting arrested left and right.

Hell, the cop will be able to look up whether you're a MMJ patient right from inside his car when he pulls you over.

Im greedy for growing weed for a family member because it helps him. Then i automatically am voting for someone because why exactly? I know what good weed looks like, smells like so if i grow for him and he doesnt like his "high" then he can recommend me to other strands he likes. Its his weed so where am i the greedy one dumbass. If it helps his medical issue then idc if its mids im growing.

Im sure your all for dispencaries also when they will be taking cards away and charging 400oz an making all your stuff into a record which others will see. As i see it, he tells me grow this strand and i do it. Im taking the risk and getting nothing out of it so whats greedy? ...dont bother answering cause your logic is twisted and most likely hypocritical.

My opinion on the legalization subject is it should be available for those in need medically and they should concentrate on getting rid of real issues like cigarettes and alcohol before adding another drug that could possibly be a problem. Most people fix their problems before adding potential new ones.

In fact only reason i continued to post was because clearly other members make personal attacks to stroke their ego so i said something back, considering the origional comments came from nothing and were false. Atleast my opinion had to do with the thread.
