Just like the title says,I have a 4x4 with a 1200watt led and couple cfls at the mome t and I'm trying to choose between bthe mars rd 1000 impressive, ipower 600 watt hps system with air cooled hood or reflector which ive always wanted to try out plus it comes with a metal halide 600 watt for veg,and last the quantum board maybe spiderfarm brand,I mean the hps seems like it has the most power or true watts in really having a hard time please help

Well, what is the make, model of the leds you have at the moment?
Then we can deduce what their actual coverage is
1200 watts of led doesn't mean it's 1200 watts of power at the wall.
The light you linked to is not a grow light, 5000K might be ok for vegging but less than optimal for flowering, too much blue light.
You'd be better off with something like this
Or look on Alibaba for cheap led grow lights
Have a look at this thread for good examples
Maybe you only need to cover 2 x 4 of your 4 x 4 using your current lights
A 600 watt Hps wil cover a 4 x 4

It pulls 126 watts,my cob pulls 110watts from the wall and I have 3 60 watt cfls,I grew my first grow and I had 5 autos and I got like 50 grams

236 watts of leds? That would cover like 4sq ft at 50 watts per sq ft
You deffo need more light for a 4 x 4
A 600 watt HPS is cheap enough, 50 quid for magnetic ballast kit.

So what if I just got a 2x2 with a mars ts 600 it's 2x2 the light so how do you fit more lights you cant?? So if I had this light and added it so it would be this and my other 2 leds that wouldn't be enough,I'm just trying to figure how I would get that amount of light to fit

A mars Hydro SP 250 or a Spider Farmer sf 2000 will flower a 2 x 4 area of the 4 x 4 tent and just use what you already have to cover the other 2 x 4 bit then.

Do you mean what if you got a 2 x 2 tent and a mars t's 600 light?
The light is 14" x 12". It's a 100 watt light.
I suppose you are on a limited budget, how much can you spend?
Here's a good light for a 2 x 2

I wouldnt put the 600w hps in a tent without an efficient way to cool the tent (an ac unit 8k btu just for your 600w hps being in that heat tank (air cooled hood) not to mention the hoods are garbage the glass blocks quality light energy and nobody cleans them nearly enough lol... buy the leds for the tent or a 400w ipower ballast and bulb kit do urself a favor and buy a 25 dollar mogule fixture and hang that baby bare bulb dont worry about the reflector and cool it, trust me had a 600w and some leds in a 4x4 very hot and cannot cool it conventionally unless you duct the cold air into the tent or directly into the hood to fight that heat, the canfan wont pull enough of the heat out so unless you are putting 1500ppms of co2 in the tent while the lights are on and you dont mind the tent being 85+ degrees then ur good but no co2 means lower heat tollerance and you would have to still exhaust the air from the tent no matter what you do obviously but id get a 400w or an ac and a 600w, you could cool the 400w with it being exhausted through a hood but clean the damn glass every run and clean ur bulbs when they are cool with a microfiber cloth (more life and more bright) dont let the dust bunnies move in lol... try it out without the ac and see how hot that little 4x4 gets even with an aircooled hood when you add some hps (btw i use hps, mh, and quantum led's mixted together for flowering and the plants love it, best of both worlds-intense sodium heat and lots of red spectrum, the mh is there bringing in the blue spectrum to keep the node spacing tight, and the leds are a mixture of 2700k and 3500k...

So I got a question I got the hlg paid $220 for it about now thos ligjt from Amazon is $50 did I get ripped off???

That doesn't sound like a real HLG light. There are a lot of Chinese knockoffs out there. HLG always tells you the actual wattage, not some exaggerated number. Where did you buy it?

HLG does market the actual or true wattage from the wall and what they reccomend it replaces in hps wattage equivilent, and if i am not wrong that appears to be the listing of the light from amazon as BXE is not an hlg light...

Since you already have some LED in there I would seriously consider giving the metal halide a go provided you can manage the heat. Lots of good UV, may wanna run the MH during stretch to limit that and switch HPS for the middle part of flower when they are bulking and switch to MH for finishing the last week or two.

If you have never grown under HID lighting it is surely something to try.

Exactly.

Horticulture lighting

Please tell me you're not talking about this one, and saying it's an HLG, lol. I hope I'm wrong.
