Ok I will start off by saying I have never completed a grow from start to finish personally. There are family members I have learned from over the years, and then there are those of you on here that have also taught me a lot. I am attempting to grow 2 master Kush plants utilizing a drip system until their root system is large enough to move them into a DWC. Below are some specs on the Veg room and internal components:
4' x 2' x 8' Grow closet (the flower closet is the same set up and next to the veg closet)
1 - 12 lamp T5 30k lumens
1 - 6" inline fan (Dont remember CFM, but its more then I need for the Grow closet)
1- 6" Carbon Filter
1 - 200 watt heater hooked to a thermostat
1 - 500 GPH pump
1 - 8 port drip manifold for irrigation
Using fox farms nutes
My tap water is exactly 150 PPM so I have been using that and its working great from what I see.
Keeping PH at 5.8 daily
PPM 460 at the moment and that was dropped down due to me not realizing in the beginning that I should not have been using the recommended dosage for seedlings that fox farms tells you to. I am using half the recommended dose in 3 gallons of water.
I usually sit right at 72 degrees F when the light is on and it gets no lower then 65 degrees most of the time when the light is off, but that's also why I hooked up the heater recently. Everything seems to be going pretty well aside from the fact that I think I slowed my growth and burned one of them by over watering in the beginning. I have since moved from watering 4 times a day down to 2 and things seem to be better, but I would love to hear from you guys and get your opinions. These plants were germinated on 2/1/15 and are will be 2 weeks come Saturday 2/14/15.
I think I messed up by moving them immediately to a 4 x 4 x 4 rockwool cube instead of waiting for some roots to come out of the 1 x 1 x 1 cubes I started them in. Any opinions on that also? I will try to keep things up to date on this journal, and I would love to get as much feedback from more experienced growers as possible on things I can be doing differently or adding to make this a successful grow. Apologies for the not so great pics, but all I have is an Iphone 4 at the moment to take pics with, but they could be worse I guess
Thanks!!
