what is the absolute most number of daylight hours past 12/12 day night that cannabis will continue to flower under? has anyone successfully flowered under 14 hours of light and produced a finished crop of proper buds?:peace:

I looked into this and found the 21:36/12 cycle. I haven't tried it yet but from what I read it has been proven. you need a seven day programmable timer and you go 21.36 on and 12 off five times over the 7 days.

You only do it for one or two weeks during flower, like the 5th or 6th week. From the pics I saw It looks like an increase of about 20%

here it is.

21:36/12 flowering set seven day timer:

Day 1 - Sunday, 6:00am til Monday, 3:36am
Day 2 - Monday, 3:36pm til Tuesday, 1:12pm
Day 3 - Wednesday, 1:12am til Wednesday, 10:48pm
Day 4 - Thursday, 10:48am til Friday 8:24am
Day 5 - Friday, 8:24pm til Saturday 6:00pm

I got a timer and Im gonna try it next round.

i haven't tried it but did read about how some people will set the schedule on 12\12 for the first 2 to 3 weeks and then turn it on 14\10 for the next like three weeks and then turn it back for the last 2 weeks to 12\12. they say you get amazing results. i think it is like the plants are producing 17 to 30% more energy when using this schedule.

I thought all stress wether it be photoperiod or physical abuse, would only decrease yield. But I have never tried it so I may have to put on the lab coat and check it out. You never know.

your right but we never get 21.36 lmao sound like your gonna make some hermies

i wouldnt go anymore than 14\10. this will give slighly more yield but the bud may not be as potent. also the plant may grow a bit crazy

I use 12/12 for the first 2-3 weeks (identify sex), then I put all the females under 10/14. I personally think this increases yield as the plants have a longer dark period to develop more buds.

straight up you got any pics or done any experiments to prove your theory?

From what I understand the thc glands are the plants way to trap pollin. I've been told that twards the end of flowering if you decrease the hours you lights are on to 10\14 the plant thinks its late in the season and tries to catch anyting, so it expresses more glands to increase the chance of pollination. Maby just a wild rumor but I'm gonna try it and do a side by side comparison.

I got no pics, but I used the 12/12 cycle on my first few grows & then a mate told me to switch to 10/14 after the plants show sex. I was told the plants bud more in the dark period & I noticed the buds developed quicker & denser as well. I'm no expert, but this method has worked wonders for me so far on bag seed. I now have breeder genetics & am going to get my grow on again, just a bit sketch about postin pics but.bongsmilie

I run a perpetual grow where I harvest 1 plant every 10 days. I have often wondered if something other then 12/12 would work straight through.

my issue is the plants are outdoors and are flowering i made a mistake putting them out when i did anyways the days are about 13hrs 30 minutes and are slowly increasing to a 14hrs 25min maximum. on june 29th the light will decrease again. there to far in flower to reveg there at 4 or 5 weeks so im hoping they will finish without reverting to veg i have about 30 days before the days will be 14 hours. im hoping dr.greenthumb is correct in that plants will still flower at 14 hours. it would be really sad too have them begin to reveg when there almost done any tips welcome.
