I have a few mealy bugs on each of my plants. I have sprayed the plants with some pesticides. Unfortunatley... THEY ARE NOT DYING... Now do these mealy bugs pose a threat to my 4 plants???

Pick em off. Pesticides (even such as neem oil) can be bad for your plant and you. Only thing to do is pick them off. They WILL suck the life out of your plant literally. Are you growing inside? If so check your house for ants, ants activly grow and harvest mealybugs, thus how they could get inside. Also I take it you live in a more tropical location.. Keep the humidity real low in your house, and grow room.

Mealy bugs have a waxy coating which is why most pesticides will not work. You can either find specific pesticide for mealy worms or use lady bugs or Cryptolaemus. Lady bugs are the destroyer of mealy bugs, lol. I have tons of em in my greenhouse. I've looked it up and there is something called SB Plant Invigorator that does not leave a chemical residue behind, so I think that would be safe for your plants. Might wanna do some research if you think about using it though. Hope that helps :)

I recall a removal process for mealy bugs that involves manual removal with a Q-Tip dipped in alcohol. I'd assure excess alcohol was not present on/in the tip. Good luck!
