Members That I Have Picked

something to start with....
1. germination
2. picking a medium
3. lighting
4. seedling stage
5. nutrients
6. vegging
7. lst/topping
8. flowering
9. harvesting and curing
10. hash/oil

so then with this list there is so much more to go in and so many of these topics should be one topic and there is so much that has been left out.

germination, seedling stage, vegin, flowering, harvesting. These would all be covered in growing, the basics.

lighting would be one, but also group it with light lamps and electricity.

Nutrients, addatives coudl be another

Environmental covering, the air around it, temps, humidity.

The titles need to be top level. I know i keep repeating the same thing, but you dont want 6 things on the main screen that can be covered in one.

it was an example. it obviously needs tweaking.

Yeah i know and thats what I'm commenting on,

We can come up with these lists until we are blue in the face though, what we really need to do is come up with headings that cover a wider area.

So long as it is kept basic. Not too many subheadings, we should do ok. Maybe we could split the faqs into two sets... a basic grow guide and then move into the faqs afterwards.

Either way we have to start at the beginning. Different grow methods should have their own subheadings. Each with full instructions on set up, ideal nute regimens, pot size etc.

So long as we have the basic, or foundation grow faq for noobs. They can then decide which subheading they like the best and have clear, concise information right in front of them. There will need to be pic's and diagrams. Preferrably our own, but if we have to steal them then that's the way it is. Plant problems and cures will also need to be a separate subheading.

Does anyone grow aero' on the site? Or NFT? It'll be a shame to have to use second hand information.

So, my idea is this.

First, the basics. A basic grow faq summarising what's need to get started.

Then subheadings are available for the different growing techniques. Once you select a subheading all of the information is paragraphed in front of you under sub-subheadings. Once on the screen, to the left (margin) will be listed the sub-subheadings, which you can click to get where you want quicker.

Why don't you start my making a list of what people have experience in what areas. And then assigning those people to explore what info is already there and what needs to be changed. They would be the ones who could easiest spot inaccuracies and could snap some pics of there own set ups etc.

Skunkushybrid is right on track with "a basic guide to getting started".
That's the most Newbie Question asked that I see.
Then catagorize it by INDOOR - OUTDOOR
AND
HYDRO -SOIL.
and maybe Mogie's suggestion of let the panel of advisors pick or list subjects or catagories that they are very knowledgable in.

i like that.

me:

outdoor
organics
bugs
hash and honey
photos
breeding
library of reference books

Please don't forget to include some fun stuff too (like the homemade pipes and bongs ones with good construction details).

I'm very good at cloning, I never use rooting hormone anymore and I've just had a clone FULLY rooted in 5 days. Out of 16, 2 have rooted in 5 days. One of them fully so.

I also grow in dwc, diy style. I can also grow hydro and of course soil.

I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. lol.

Roseman and I have recently become good friends. i don't mind working WITH him on the bubbleponics/dwc section.

We need to first agree on the main headings... Once main headings are agreed upon you guys can team up and attack the sections.

Basic Grow Guide.

Soil

Hydroponics

DWC

NFT

Aeroponics

Plant Problems

Cloning

Breeding

These are what I'd suggest for the main headings. Then each section would need to be attacked. The hardest will be hydro as there is so much more involved, with drip system, ebb 'n' flow etc.

Soil will need to include an outdoor section too.

The top one is good.

How to grow marijuana 101 - the basics.

Hydroponics, DWC, NFT, Aeroponics, these should fall into one category and then split

plant problems, (pests, funghi and diseases)

advanced techniques.

see you got a list of 9 there skunk but there is still so much more to get in, a more experienced grower isnt gong to want to go through a beginners grow guide to find out about ventilation or co2 so there needs to be some kind of environment heading.

There should also be a diy header. Some more like the ones I listed so that you can go to the area you wish instead of having to search through a grow guide.

Ventilation would come into the basic grow guide. Ventilation is fairly easy, when you think you have enough, double it. Can't remember where I got that from now, but it's advice I've always taken to heart. The basic grow guide will also include things like lights, although they may be big enough to warrant their own section too.

Although a DIY section would be good.

Maybe a scientific section of some sort too which keeps up to date on any research done on the plant, or plants in general. NASA are always doing tests.

I just don't want to see it get over complicated and us getting bogged down with multiple headings.

here's another list to peruse guys....

where's YOUR top ten, my friend? :peace::joint::joint:

What about a Glossary?
An alphabetized QUICK REFERENCE so NEWBIES and look and see what a CFL is, and find it FAST !

this is going nowhere. someone let me know when we are ready. can't even come up with an agreement on where to start.

Hold on fdd2blk, don't get discouraged.
(But I do too hope this is not like the CONTEST Thread.)

I suggest we decide on or nominate or elect a Team Captain, or Leader. And I suggest that Leader take charge, divide us up into teams, and give us an assignment. There has to be a decision maker at the top that we all agree to honor and respect and do as they suggest.
If we can not agree on a Leader, let Rollitup do it, or decide who does. Or go by who has the most POSTS or Rep. But I think we are spinning our wheels until we have someone TAKE CHARGE and Lead the way.
anyone agree?
