seedling burst into life.
baby leaves have no gone the first two blade leaves are huge for a baby plant they are around the size of your thumb and near 1.5 times as thick. i have grown/sprouted a few plants in my time and have never seen a seedling like this. its leaves are very fat and stubby and it grows incredibly fast i mean realy fast.
lighting has become a problem. cash is too tight i cant afford too purchase electrical cable and light fittings. i butchered an old lamp for its fitting, 240v bayonet fitting was the best i could find so it was used. i cut the old cable from my burnt out soldering iron and added a plug now i had a makeshift light and installed into cab. being 19 inch high inside cab i decided too mount bulb on the side wall of the cab and around 10 inch high. i could then slide plant under light and let her climb towards but only at the speed i wanted. i always kept the plant around 1 - 2 inch above plant and tied down LST style.
bulb was a pain no cash meant i had too raid the house. a philips genie 18w 2700k or an osram 20w 2700k. i chose the higher wattage bulb and installed. 15hrs running and temp sits at 83.1f without any fans running so would be fine. weather over here as gotten better the september sun is still fairly bright so plant gets put out for natural light and then into cab. plant gets CFL/sunlight over 15hrs and a 9hr dark period. no timer sucks but i can live without that.
Plant: im unsure when you start counting nodes my two croydlons (sp) have died and i have two single leaves, then a 3 blade leaf and opposite a 5 blade leaf, another two 5 leafs, then another two 5 leafs then the tip. when does a grower start counting nodes ? i dont know if i should top her soon or leave her longer i would say she is around 4 - 5 inches high now and already been under LST for a week. i also stuck for soil so she is still in an 8inch pot. i wondered if i could keep her in the 8 inch pot all the way too harvest ?.
oh and i have MG ready
i dont care i need ferts and thats all i had left over from summer hanging basket feeding.
this realy is growing on a budget of nothing
