Just saying Hello. This is my first grow indoors. 3x3 Mars tent, with Mars FC3000 Samsung light. Got a GSC plant going, and a GDP plant that is a week behind the GSC plant. October 4th will be 6 weeks of flower time. These are the best pics I could take with my phone. How close to harvest do you think it is? I’m thinking two to three more weeks. Thanks for any input you might have. I think I need to get a digital microscope so I can really see when the Trich’s start to turn amber.

Thanks again,

Alex
I run cookie strains, crosses etc. I usually chop at day 75 flower. You wouldn’t believe how much fatter the buds get if you let your indica hybrids flower 75 days. The flowers pack on a lot of weight in the final 10 days of it’s life. And with cookies, depending on the pheno, you may not actually ever see amber. I’d suggest waiting for the hairs to recede into the flower. That’s the tell tale sign it’s ready

Also, don't plan for a flush of the plant for two weeks. If you want to taper the nutrients down the last two weeks gradually that's fine but you really want to make sure it's being fed up to the end. Do a search on flushing on here and you'll see it's been debated to death for years. There's no need to pour a bunch of water through the medium in a mistaken attempt to flush out the nutrients. Plant biology doesn't work that way. Reducing the amount of feed as the plant comes to the end of it's cycle and needs less makes sense though.

get yourself one of those USB microscopes for like $20 off amazon. its pretty cool to look at trichs under power. it also comes in handy if you ever get mites which you can't see with naked eye

and i personally keep an eye on the trichs. if for some reason you harvest when they are all amber, that is too late IMO and the THC has degraded already. just my 2cents
