Yeah, I work in an office with a couple other guys and were always getting into little debates like this. One of them likes to "debate" and the other just doesn't understand why we do it at all...just a big waste of time.. lol sometimes its funny to just hear him start bitching about us argueing about stupid shit like this. Definatley gets your brain thinking, excersize... better than watching TV :peace:

Unstoppable force can be x, x = infinite force, immovable object would be y = infinite mass, force is mass times acceleration. So basically they are the same weight, except one of them is going at infinte speed, so, i think that the immovable object would be bounced a far distance because x = y plus infinite acceleration and would thusfore have more torque on impact than soley the y, infinte mass. So, unstoppable force is truly unstoppable while immovable object is movable.

Yes, I do see. You changed the question to be: what would happen if an unstoppable force met an ALMOST immovable object. If it is immovable it can not be bounced anywhere by anything - otherwise it is NOT an immovable object and the conundrum continues....

again, both are impossibilities so it is the equivalent of debating about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin (only heads of pins actually do exist).

All im saying is that an unstoppable force would have all the mass of the immovable object as well the infinte speed! imagine that, what if they combined to form a star or something that takes a shitload of energy. HOLY SHIT MAN, it would become a star. Thats the answer, they become a star. Or a black hole. It has to do something with the space time continuem.

ok hey, i mentioned way,way way, back on page 3 or 4 that it will RICOCHET.

id like to push that idea again, so here. ..

unstoppable force - nothing can stop it.(like the name)

unmoveable object - doesnt move, no matter what

if they come in contact with each other unstoppable can change direction without stopping.

now im no rocket surgeon, nor do i clame to be, but i think its true.

I think the possible outcome might be that the unstoppable force would NOT stop but would NOT move the unmovable force either...

Movement is relative just because you "hit a brick wall" does not mean there is no solution or possible way to overcome it...

EDIT>>> Having said that just because YOU have overcome that obstacle does not mean it no longer exists... It is still an obstacle just one that is no longer in your immediate path...
