It's funny you call it crap for weed. Have you actually looked at the pictures of plants grown in MG? If the grower didn't attempt to add even more nutrients to the already nutrient-rich soil, the plants come out very nice thank you.MG makes multiple different types of soil.
MG's much more common wood chunk and time release fert filled soil is the soil that people tell noobs not to use because it's complete crap for mj.
You know this.
What foods are you talking about? I do NPK values and would not hesitate to recommend their Tomato food, 18-18-21 as a balanced food or the 20-20-20 that can be used at all times. Where folks get themselves into trouble is using bloom foods that are ultra high in P or K. Those foods will induce premature leaf drop and micro deficiencies. The masses don't know or care, they continue to suck up to forum paradigms, hype, and labels as opposed to learning something about plant nutrition.I've never once mentioned potting soil.. I'm talking about bloom booster you put it in your water, maybe its the soil penetrant they don't want you spraying on your bud, I don't know why they say that particular one isn't edible because I don't like its nute ratios or the lack of micro nutes and chelated ingredients . Maybe its because it has higher levels of arsenic I don't know but your basically arguing with what they say about their own product. Not all of them are listed as inedible so Im going to listen
Yep. https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/533009-psychology-wrong-answers-aka-asch.htmlIt's funny you call it crap for weed. I want to know the science behind your claim or MG's claim that using MG foods on vegetables makes them "inedible". It's the same salts you get out of a load of cow manure.Documentation of what ub?
Just to be clear MG offers two all purpose foods. One is a 20-20-20. The other is 24-8-16 which is the one I'm talking about. Label specifically states it's for all plants including fruits and vegetables. Maybe you were thinking of another?I don't know anything about other fertilizer companies, I know mg all purpose isn't suitable for edible plants such as veggies, I don't know the exact reasoning but mg says its not edible, i know many say so and it has veggies on the box i think but if you look deeper into mgs product descriptions its mentioned not edible, unlike bloom food..also contains a soil penetrant, again I dont know what that means but I dont wanna eat or smoke bud from all purpose....it also doesn't contain the chelated ingrediants or micro nutes that the bloom booster does...bloom booster also has calcium in it, some other liming agents
Really? 0 N? It's fact the plant still needs nitrogen through flower. Less than veg maybe but it still needs it for multiple life processes. How do you keep them looking healthy and avoiding your leaves from dying off?Maybe you have some other nitrogen source othan than your foods such as castings or other substances in your soil?mg is just as good as any other fertilizer ! for a fraction of the cost, but what are you going to use to get it to flower ? you cant have all that nitrogen in there, 20 20 20 , is ok for veg, but flowering. you want example, 0 45 30. I prefer , lowest nitro as possible but some 5 55. 30 is great, rem with all that nitro it will slow down flowering. I found some, its called, (jacks hydroponics) yes used for soil grow check the web site, get this for flower, mg will work but small yields,
Big mistake but I've beat that dead horse long enough. It will NOT slow down flowering. That is another forum myth and paradigm parroted by every new crop of newbies who read that shit from what the last crop of newbies parroted from the last crop of newbies they read from who..........lowest nitro as possible but some 5 55. 30 is great, rem with all that nitro it will slow down flowering.
Leaves don't produce bud, AN bloom foods do, as you well found out.Really? 0 N? It's fact the plant still needs nitrogen through flower. If that's the case I'm doomed to never grow bud againLeaves don't produce bud, AN bloom foods do, as you well found out.
Yep. At scott's own website they show the 15-30-15I've never seen another mg bloom booster, could you possibly put up a link... Ben as mentioned earlier the flowering foods are designed exclusively for foliar feeding and hydroponics, because of this they have more chelated ingredients and micro nutes.. its not like there isn't n. I also use this same formula in veg. its a pretty good ratio for the most part of everything. I'm gonna try adding some kelp next grow see how that does for me. But I get excellent results with Epson and the bloom booster....
Lol Last year I got carried away with RUI bloom booster fever. Petioles turned red right when I first used them and it was looking bad. Then I stopped using the bloom booster and molasses. I got some good buds. They filled i n nicely and leaves never dropped wildly until frost hit them a couple times. Better than anything I ever bought. Way better. There is nothing wrong with MG potting soils, if there was it wouldn't sell.
Do not use bloom foods, unless you want less production. Yep, that's what I said.
