Misting budding plants...? ( Dry climate )

First I did Google and used the search engine on this site...

And got a zillion " Yes you can." and a zillion "No you shouldn't"

This has nothing to do with FF..just dust.

I live in a very dry climate ( Colorado) and even with a cool mist humidifier right next to the plant I can barely keep it at 30.

The only time in Colorado will you ever see humidity above 40 is if it rains ( or snows)..it can get so dry here even the snow won't fall..it just hangs in the air.

I try and keep good housekeeping around my grow area..vacuum every day, clean light fixtures, fans and Mylar on regular basis...but I know that there is going to be dust settling on the plant.

I misted regularly during veg..no problems there.
And I'm not talking about misting everyday...just once every couple of weeks to clean it off...

I would do this after the lights go off and let the fans dry it off ( I can have 3 oscillating fans blowing the plant from all sides to dry it ) And as dry as it is here that wouldn't take long.

My neighbor swears by it ( He grows some awesome Purple Kush ) and he mists all the way up to harvest...

So if there any dry climate growers on these forums...I would appreciate input.

If I knew any dust or what have you would settle just on the leaves I could care less...but the buds are crystal city and sticky as all get out.

I have a month to go...

My last crop was fine without misting ..I guess...tasted good and got you baked.

But I'm kinda anal and want perfection this time...

So don't take this the wrong way when I ask for responses primarily from people who grow or grew in dry arid areas...

Peace...

There's no need to mist, because 30% is ideal for flowering, so don't sweat it. It's also effective against preventing bud mold. :)

I also live in Colorado, and the biggest concern regarding misting flowering plants is mold. As I am sure your aware, we just don't have the mold problem other places do. I also mist my flowering ladies, just try not to hit flowers too much, and I never have had any mold. Also, IMO, humidity levels is another one of those topics that we should get myth busters to check, because I have had some absolutely wonderful success growing outdoors here, and I obviously have no ability to control outdoor humidity which, as you stated, rarely gets over 20%. I do love showing off this lady in particular.

Nice...!
Outdoors in Colorado huh?

I might try a few outside next year.

Your right ....most people don't understand exactly how dry it can get here....and the lack of mold.
