i do know that MANGO, not mango kush is a good pest resistant strain,its indica and was next to a mite infested bubba kush.

Heres another Idea I dont think anyone has mentioned. Try growing a mite resistant strain. These are usually indica. I grew a few northern lights crosses also last grow, they were right next to the plants that were infested and I never found a mite on them.

Probably two months ago I threw out all my plants. Let off bombs. Made up several real strong bleach-water solutions and did everything short of submerging my ballasts in bleach water! Cleaned everything for literally days. Waited five/six days started over. Now I use mighty wash every few weeks as prevention and I yesterday i got Azamax to use as prevention. Hopefully I will never have a problem again!

Unfortunatly Mighty wash on you're buds, Does taste like snake oil. Have to use power wash to get that shit off after.

don't use azamax as prevention.

1. that isn't what it is for, just use it when you have mites. -it does nothing for the eggs either.

2. mites will get resistant to it over time. so using it more often than not - you'll screw yourself and get super mites.



but mighty wash is best. and safest. -after an hour or so of spraying the wash - i do a water rinse. every 3 days until the population is gone. egg cycles is about 2-3 days.

but a dormant egg can live in carpet, no food or anything for up to 3 years... those fuckers!

You just saved me some cash. That $120 bottle doesn't last very long at 4 oz per 5 gallon. I used it then again 2 weeks later. Think that was Thursday. I lightly spray mighty wash about once a week. It's like in the movies when someone is really pissed and they shoot someone. Then again and again. The person is dead but they just unload the clip. Then reload and empty another one into the corpse. And then when that clip is empty they still pull the trigger five more times. Screaming DIE MOTHER FUCKER!!!!! DIE!!!!! the entire time. It's just like that. I really need to switch my shit up so that I have down time in rooms to completely break everything down, clean, make changes, disinfect. etc etc.

I was reading through this https://www.rollitup.org/bugs/475307-how-kill-spider-mites-100-a.html the other day, and I think I'm going to mix up a batch of it to use once in a while instead of the Mighty Wash or Azamax. There's a ton of bullshit and arguing on the thread (big shocker), but it does have some good info if you can wade through the knee-high bullshit.

I always use the hot shot no pest strips to kill off mites. I only had an infestation once and I put one in the flower room and one in the veg room and all were dead within 12 hours. I try to replace them every 3 months or so.

Well the crack heads have em. The alchoholics have em. The veterans have em. We that have had to deal with this problem such as spider-mite infestation need a support group cause man it can get bad.lol

Hi I am hic and I have been threw a spider-mite campaign before and could in the future. I like foggers they seem to get to alot of places without all the labor.

I make sure to avoid any of my friends grows that I know have mite issues. That and neem oil are the best preventatives.

Mites develope a resistance to those hot-shot pest strips. I've never used them, but have seen the resistance developed first hand. Why breathe that crap and still not have it work? Those should be rotated through on and off for them to remain effective. No more than 3-4 wks at a time.

Not sure? I bet you could try it though.

I have also heard of people placing home ingrediants into a small humidifier and letting that do the work as well. I have never done this although have heard it works well. Does not erradicate only holds em back to small numbers i guess?

I use a shop vac, lol. I will vacuum every branch on the plant and then hit with neem and soapy water, works great

I have used Captain Jacks dead bug brew and it worked great for spidermites and thrips also got rid of my gnats. It contains Spinosad, a naturally occurring soil dwelling bacterium that was collected on a Caribbean island from an abandoned rum distillery. The stuff works great and is organic and doesnt leave any bad flavor on your buds and can be used throughout your grow.
