The Darth Vader I'm smoking is middle shelf, this stuff was $290 and ounce, which I think is pricey. They have ounces all the way on up to $360. Girl Scout Cookies top shelf goes for around that. I have serious pain and I need the best quality medicine, so you guys might be right, I would have to convert over to HPS or don't do it at all.....( : about to smoke a bowl

You know I think you are right...I will give a try on an HPS set up. I've never actually tried HPS or MH I have only tried either LED or CFL to date. I want to see how much faster the plants grow and how much better the yield will be. I was reading an indoor growing magazine and they said even still to date HPS put out the best possible spectrum, you have to spend lots of $$$ to get an LED that will put out a spectrum even close to an HPS...so it may be worth a try, next month I will try it...see what happens I wont sell my stuff I will give it another shot, I will get better genetics this time, and ya.

Strain depending i can get 20 oz plus. But i cram 12 3 gallon pots under each blockbuster hood. Minimum 1.5 oz each. Sometimes 2-2.5 with incredible bulk or my lavendor.

Also utilizing space between hoods is key.

well, I love HIDS, but in no way is it the best spectrum, LEDS have that in the bag all day long.
BUT a nice broad spectrum MH would be helpful, or a simple hps.
And how big is your tent? you can stuff a 400w in a small area, if you have ventilation.
Oh, and that darth vader is WAY overpriced at 290 an oz...
if you are in CA, check craigslist, people sell oz there for WAY cheaper and it'll shit alllllllll over that darth
just have your medical card handy

I live in Palm Springs. Its a little high-end over here. Also a little remote. Most weed is driven here from San Bernadino. The absolute cheapest weed I can find there is $120 for some bottom shelf, $200 an ounce seems to be common for an ounce of decent bud. Top of the shelf anywhere from $250 on up to as high as $400 or more. We are still medical not recreational, not yet at least ....

You mean like I would have to run an a/c duct to cool the 400w bulb?

So you are running 4,000 watts? Your power bill must be higher than $240 unless you have solar panels lol

depends.. palm springs is hot, but summer is over, if you get a 4" inline fan, that should keep them cool enough, and you can also run your grow at night to help with temps too.
Check craigslist, I bet there is better herb for cheaper there, and they might even deliver...
And I only run two 600w ballasts. Sometimes three if i'm feeling frisky

I am most definitely growing a large outdoor plant next year, starting from seed in January and by September I'm aiming for a 6 footer ....I might start growing the plant Nov. 1st in the tent, then move it outside in Jan or Feb. It's going to be a good year 2016
