Here are some photos from today from different bud spots on my plant. I’ve still got white hairs shooting up in some areas so I’m not sure if it’s there yet but I’m seeing amber and lots of cloudy trichs. What do you guys think?

This is when I would start flushing the plant as the trichomes are milky ..... it’s great to see they are turning amber, when they are all amber in color then that is the perfect time to harvest ....... keep an eye on them because harvesting too soon or late will affect potency.

Yeah, yesterday was my last feeding. Once it dries up I’ll be giving it water only. Probably chop it down in a week or two. I’ve read different opinions as to what percentage of amber trichs you should aim for, 30% amber, 60% milky white, 10% clear etc. As far as I know, it depends on the type of high you want and comes down to personal preference on where the “sweet spot” is for you.

Full plant and bud pics
I’ll try snap some photos tomorrow. My plant ended up with a pretty serious nutrient deficiency a few weeks ago and I lost some fan leaves and some others died from the tip almost to the buds. Since then I’ve fed it regularly and the rich green colour has returned for the most part. All the while the buds continued to put on weight and I have had no signs of hermaphroditism

What are you using to look at your trichomes? I’ve been using the li gray scopes, and have bought three, each better than the previous one, but I have one HECK of a time getting it to stay focused for longer than a split second. I’ve been pretty much guessing on my trichs for five years now, and it’s frustrating when I see such clear, beautiful photos like these. I know there’s a way I can do that , too

I use a usb microscope. And use a stand for it so it’s staying still to get pics.

I also use a microscope I got from Amazon. I’ll link the one I use later. I’m in Canada so the link may not work but it’s called “MoKo WiFi USB Digital Microscope“. It links to your smartphone via an app and a wifi connection. The microscope creates its own network that you then connect to in your phones wifi settings. You can take photos And video that save to your camera roll. It has a built in dimmable LED on the end which is nice.
I’ve found that trying to get clear pictures without the use of the stand is impossible. You have to be completely still and adjust focus every time. I’ve had more success using the video recording feature and just going around all the different buds and moving the scope around at various distances, gently holding the buds still with my free hand. I then go through the video footage, pause/play quickly until I see a clear image and screenshot those. That’s what I have posted here.

MoKo WiFi USB Digital Microscope, 1080P HD 2MP Camera, 50x to 1000x Magnification Mini Pocket Handheld Wireless Endoscope 8 LED, Metal Stand Compatible with iPhone/iPad/Mac/Window/Android/iOS - Black https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07DN923RN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ClPsFbC8TRKQD

sounds great! I bought one similar last year, but my phone wouldn't get the app and I had to return it because I couldn't use it (a problem I have to fix with Apple....not looking forward to that)...but, I've found a way around it. Just get the app on my iPad & then it's good to go on my phone ......(I have to cheat to get free apps ;) ).
Oh well, at least it works, so I can now get one of these cool scopes.
thanks! :D

So a cheap 60x magnify is great ..... can get them at Walmart or at your local growing supplier 10/20$
You can get a simple one that attaches to your phone ..... doesn’t cost much but do prefer 60x

Did it! Got one of the USB microscopes! :D. It arrives Friday, and just hope it's a good one. Hard to tell, reading all the reviews; finding one that will actually work with an iPhone out in the field; etc. I'm not really lucky when getting the right model/brand of this type of thing since I know NOTHING about them! I look up reviews online; and the reviews on Amazon, which I take with some cynicism ;), and do my best.....which doesn't always work. SO, we'll see.
