MS Patient - Looking for Recipes

I have three patients registered under my MMC with the state I live in. One of them has MS and cannot eat a lot of solid foods. I plan to make butter and edibles and have the patient's nurse assistant administer the meds.

Does anyone have any recipes or ideas that would work for MS patients?

Also, anyone have info on preferred strains for MS patients?

Anyone? I have about 1 week left before some of my girls start coming out. This is my first indoor grow and I've never made edibles before let alone for someone who can't eat solid foods. Most of the strains I have are indica and have qualities that presumably help with insomnia and appetite.

Something that can be fed with a spoon or through a straw. I mean I can't give her butter... and she can't eat crackers and cookies and stuff.

All comments welcomed... I have a few more weeks to dry and cure... and to research comments.

btw... this person was physically capable of smoking it up to a few years ago. For a while, the nurse aid would help her to smoke it but she is confined to a wheelchair with almost 20 hours of in house assistance now she hasn't been able to get meds. She's a state certified MMP and one of the reasons I started growing. She can move her head a little and can still talk a little and she perks right up at family functions when she knows we're going "in the garage for a chat"... and she can't come :( I'm soo looking forward to busting out some edibles and whispering in her ear at the next family party.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

No idea on strains but Cannabis in general has many neurological pain blocking agents so she should get some benefit from any you have.

Why not make her some hemp oil and she can take a small dab orally once or twice a day. This would be the largest concentrate of CB's you can give her and the greatest relief you can give her.

If you need to dilute it or make it more palatable. Warm (less than 200F) and mix it in a 1:3 100% vegetable glycerin bath and let it cool and give her about 1/2 a dropper a couple times a day.

Thanks for this response!

This is exactly what I'm looking for. I was hoping to make it more of a pleasurable thing for her though. This person liked to smoke it before they their health condition degraded. I'd like to give her something more pleasurable than an I dropper :)

I really appreciate this advice and will research it further.

Anyone else have some recipes that can be applied to MS patients who can't eat a lot of solid foods?

Is she wants to smoke and has a hard time "dragging" a Volcano vape would work well.
You can assist her even more by applying gentle force to the bag as she breaths in.

This is basically let her get "high" by breathing. I still strongly believe in the medicinal benefits of ingested Cannaboids as a dual treatment at the least.

A link to a Volcano for example - http://www.rakuten.com/prod/volcano-digit-vaporizer-easy-valve-set/223762670.html?listingId=250058476

Thank you for the response. The problem is she can hardly move her head and her new nurse aid is not the old nurse aid who would actually hold a vaporizer to her mouth for her.

I though about making cookies or brownies and just mashing them up with milk.

This is a legal patient? If so that aid better do whatever this patient needs! Sorry for the rage but I've experienced firsthand bad care giving and I don't accept it.

Sounds like we need something low-key that will do the job.

Does she like hot tea? Mixed concentrate in honey then mix that honey in her tea to make it easier to drink the honey because it's broken down?
Still doesn't solve the smoking craving though.

Shit! Time to get creative, make a vaporizer out of an oxygen tank! bongsmilie

My mother is an ms patient and for the most part she likes the tinctures. She's not looking to get "high" whatsoever just feel relaxed, and the tincture seems to work very well for that. She smokes at night but when she knows she can go right asleep. The tincture can be put into grape juice and can't taste a thing(vegetable glycerin tincture) which works real well for her in the daytime when people she knows may stop by.

Before she started medicating with cannabis she would never be comfortable in bed for the night. my dad would have to constantly reposition her all nite ultimately not sleeping himself. Now she sleeps like a log and is very impressed with how cannabis works. I'm sure my pops is too.

The strain she really enjoyed was plush berry from tga. I had found a pheno that had stellar relaxing qualities the high wasn't in the head whatsoever, she benefitted very much from that cross.
