My 164 Watt CFL Grow

Just wanted to let everyone in on my experience with the organic nutes so far. EVERYONE GO BUY SOME! Its fucking crazy, the day after I started feeding with the Pure Blend Pro Soil Bloom, I had a multitude of new hairs come in on both plants. My frosted beauty got even more frosted I think! Resin glands on the topped plant don't even compare to the LST sativa plant, its going to be some sticky, trippy shit! Plus, who knows what these plants would have looked like if they were being fed organically their whole life. Would have saved me so much trouble if I would have had organic nutes the whole grow.

I have another pic update for all of you here. The first four are all bud shots of the LST Sativa and the last two are the topped plant. Try to ignore the damaged fans, those problems have been solved already. The topped plant has no where near the crystals and seems to be taking forever. I hope she picks it up or I'll be waiting to harvest in december...

As many of you know I am already looking forward to a second grow. I have been perusing the internet looking for a strain to order, and a reliable site to order from when something dawned on me: I know growers of premium kind bud, why not just buy a couple clones? So I contacted a friend of mine, who's uncle just happens to be one of said growers, and he informed me they will only run $25 bucks a pop. Last time I bought greens from him it was the best I had ever smoked, or seen for that matter, it was Sensi Star and that shit was GREAT. I was stoned for up to four hours after smoking it, I just hope he still has the same mother. Other strains he's had in the past include Melon Skunk, Grapefruit, and Purple Indica. I can't wait to see which one he's got for me, got my fingers crossed its that sensi star though...

Alright I have another pic update for everyone. These are all pics of my LST sativa which I expect will be ready for harvest in about 2 or 3 weeks. The first three are the main cola's, the fourth is all of the cola's pictured side by side(the funny thing is the short one on the far left would have been the top cola if I hadn't LST'd), and the fifth is a close up of one of the lower buds(pretty good for the bottom of the plant, huh?). Its really cool seeing amber hairs come in, and they're starting to smell great. Its kind of like a lemon zest, eucalyptus, pine-sol edged thing. Its going to taste fantastic. I have seen dramatic improvement in the past week since I've started with organic nutrients.

No worries man, that was many pages back. Yah I added four 40 watts and tossed the 65 watt, it had a 4100k color temperature which wasn't doing any good. I started with 2 warm white and 2 daylight, and then I switched to 4 warm white when I went into flower. I think they're doing great for only 160 watts lighting 2 ft^2.

I imagine the LST sativa will be done in roughly 2-3 weeks, I started flowering in early september. The other plant is taking forever though, she had some nute burn early on which I believe to be the cause. Luckily she has no amber hairs like the LST does, so she should have time to put on quite a bit more weight before harvest.

DO NOT USE MIRACLE GROW SOIL. Yes I used it, and will regret it till the day I die. Those little continuous feed balls release WAY too much nutrients for a young cannabis plant. That soil will burn the shit out of whatever you plant in it. It didn't even get good results when I transplanted into it, nute burn followed only days later...

Well I guess I have no experience with the Moisture Control stuff. Anything that says continuous feed though, stay away. The whole point of growing indoors is to try and re-create the outdoor environment, when do plants outside receive 3 months worth of nutes in about a week? I know they're suppose to release slower... but they don't.

All MG has time-release nutes... even the perlite. I've used MGMC on my light feeding sativas with no problems. They look like they've been growing in hydro they're so healthy.

Well if it works for you then rock the fuck out. I on the other hand had an awful experience with their soil, it almost killed 2 of my plants. For my next grow I'm going to choose a soil that will actually aid my plants, not hinder them. I will also continue to tell everyone MG is crap, because thats my experience with it, if I said otherwise or acknowledged MG's greatness I would be lying.

Give coco coir a try..... 100% coir and nothing else. Feed it with bat/bird guano and you'll have it made.

I am actually leaning towards the coif direction for my next grow, funny you mention it. There is this stuff made by Roots Organic that is basically a soil replacement. Its fortified with organic ferts and mycro whatever its called which prevents lockout. Its not too expensive either. What attracted me is its water retention, supposed to hold 50/50 water to air. You can water it like hydro or soil, it will hold the water and get enough oxygen, anything excessive will just run off. Sounds sweet I can't wait to try it.

That's the stuff Subcool uses now. He makes supersoil with it but yah know it'll kick ass by itself. Excellent choice my fiend.
