Quick question for anyone. Do you wait till the branch snaps before moving to jars? Or do you leave a little flexibility in the branch? My two Onyx seem really dry to touch. The branches have a little bend in them. Can I start moving to jars and just watch the moisture and remove lids to let dry out some? Thanks for any input I appreciate it!

Yeah, you took a risk, but it kept you out of the poolhall...and damned if it didn't pay off. So long as you don't screw up the drying and curing. I'm posting a link for you guys that might help. But I'm curious about your cereal box method. Tell me about the tricks involved with that?

Lol. The cereal box was just a temp place to dry those first branches. I had a branch from each lady with no place to dry them. I just took the box and poked a few holes put the branches inside closed the top and placed back inside my cabinet. Right now I am using the cabinet as the drying room. I placed some screws and hung some string. It has worked really well I think. Temps have been in the sixties and humidity in the 50-60 range.

Yesterday morning I checked on them and both Onyx were really dry to touch with a little bend to the stems. Hopefully I didn't make a big rookie mistake, but I cut the 2 Onyx down and put into jars. I am not trying to speed the process, I want to cure them correctly! I can wait, trust me! I am afraid of over drying. Well they sat inside the cabinet all day in the dark and about 65 degrees inside the cabinet with the RH in the 50% range in the cabinet also. As soon as I got home I took out all jars(7) and opened to check moisture. I noticed NO moisture build up anywhere inside the jars. The buds were moister than in the morning though! I have all jars laying down with the lids off to dry out some. How long should I leave open each time? I decided to weigh each jar to get an idea of what I can expect once dryed and cured. The total for both plants, seven jars is 103.3 grams. The big Onyx is 56.8 grams right now and the small Onyx is 46.5 grams. 3.6 Ounces ain't to bad for the 2 of them, and I still have to dry and weigh the Easyryder. Yeah some of the total for those 2 Onyx will evaporate, but I should at least pull 3 oz. from those 2. I feel good saying I could get at least an ounce and a half from the EasyRyder Fo Sho! If thats the case I am really happy with my first harvest, and can't wait to start the next grow! If I pull five oz. It will be more than I expected! I was hoping for an oz for each plant. That's fucking awesome pulling 5oz on my first grow. I have plans to do at least four plants next grow.

I have been following( this grow ) of a 400watt hps light with like seven plants, he just harvested 3 plants and got about 115 grams. Just thought you might like to check it out to see how your LED held up vs. the HID's. From the looks you got more per plant then him, but i think it's partly due to the fact that he had seven plants fighting over light/Co2. Either way awesome grows by both of you, I hope to be so lucky.

Also, can't wait to see more pictures when the buds are fully cured, +smoke report! Great job again and keep an eye on those jars, burp them at least a couple times a day until they start crisping up more in the jars. Peace

Thanks for that info I'm pretty sure I'll pull five oz. I have been burping a couple times a day. I have been rearranging them inside and leaving the tops off for about an hour or two. Is that to long? For sure I'll post some more pics and a smoke report. I have been tokn on some of the trim and scissor hash. It's all been getting me ripped! This morning I smoked the last of the first branches I harvested. I was ripped off of that also! Very happy with the HigH can't wait to have some cured ChroniC!

Well I decided this morning to bring the EasyRyder down and put into jars. Seemed pretty dry to thus rookie! I'll just keep a close eye on them just like the other jars! So I have a total of 11 1qrt wide mouth size mason jars full. Not crammed but pretty full in each jar. Hells Yeah! Anyway I have some preliminary weights to report. I do expect to lose some of the weight to evaporation. Anyway the total for all eleven jars right now is 5.4 oz. In the end I expect 5 oz. If not, really close to that. Still got some curing time but I will reweigh and post all results and a smoke report! I have been tokn on some of the trimmings and also smoked the last of the mini harvest and have gotten ripped every time. I am definitely happy with the HIGH! Thanks for following!

Hmm I would say onyx just because I had no problem at all! The Easyryder had a little leaf curling and dis coloration cause me some rookie stress. Still the answer could change after curing. I plan to grow two onyx an easyryder and a haze auto by dinafem. The haze was a freebie from attitude and was also in high times latest mag for top strains of the year. It was listed first in the article Anyone try that strain?

Honestly i don't know. My wife always pays it. Must not be too bad since she has not mentioned an increase. Believe me I would hear about it if there was a significant increase! Lol

I didn't see any noticeable increase on my bill while running a 400w HPS so that LED has to be cheap to run.

Thanks Bighill! I am very pleased with the success of my first grow! I should have five oz. In the end. Very happy with that total for the three ladies. I feel this harvest has paid for my light.

So last night I picked up another half oz. Of some medicine. I got a qrtr of super lemon haze an eighth of moby dick and an eighth of grapefruit kush. I bought from the grower. He uses 1000w hps in his grow. Anyway I was comparing the density of his medicine to my medicine. Now the moby dick and the grapefruit kush are more dense than my onyx. Mine seemed more dry IMO. Pretty sure he said he cures for about two weeks. IMO the easyyder is closer in density to his than the onyx. Now the super lemon haze is a different story. I think the density of the lemon haze and the onyx are close and the easyryder is denser than the lemon haze. The lemon haze also has to be dryed a little more so I can grind to vape. I have actually left the lid off of the jar of the lemon haze today and it seems grindable now. I'm bbbaked and these are just some things I was thinking about that's all. I'll try and post a pic of my Harvest jars later tonight. Not sure though cause UFC is on so I'll be prepping for the ppv. Anyone follow ufc?

yea well hazes are mostly sativa so will be more airy every time its just how they are really indicas are always more dense, yea ufcs pretty good dont have ppv tho so i have to wait till after to watch it

your final say on the weight is 5oz then or are you going to check again? harvest looks good either way.
