My first closet grow

I just want to thank everyone here for all of your help. I have been reading avidly for over a month. I have decided to produce my own stash for the quality, and also I have wasted enough money to buy a house or 2 on this stuff in my life so far.
I am about 2.5 weeks in on my 1st indoor grow with some decent bagseed, also I am 9 days in on some femmed white widow which I paid a lot of money for so it had better be good.
I am using soil, and 5-cfl's in a rubbermaid setup for the veg stage. I will use 400 w hps in a homebox for flowering.
So far I think they look decent, I would appreciate any feedback. The 2 smaller ones on the left are the fww sprouts.:leaf:
I have a few pics of the setup but I am not sure how to post them. The add image icon is asking me for a url, but it is on my hard drive. I will try to figure this out.

When you hit the manage attachments box there should be an option to upload pics from your computerhttps://www.rollitup.org/newattachment.php?t=110692&poststarttime=1221702579&posthash=3c30fc64285356c82ac256b3e4f6fe93 hit the browse option then choose the file where the image is, then select the image then hit upload, when its finished uploading close that page then send reply.

Here are some of the little girls visiting my neighborhood. Hopefully it will stay warm for them. I have just started feeding them molasses. They are starting to have a wonderful scent. Thankfully I had started with 11, because 6 were male. At one point, I thought they were all going to be male. These were started around May 20-25. Had a coupla close calls with near frost, but lucky so far. Forecast looks good for next 10 days. It does not look as if I will get much for a yield. Any idea how much it can gain in the last 2-3 weeks? These pics are a week old, I will try to get some new ones tomorrow.:weed:

Here is a better pic of my closet set up. I finally added some hanging hooks to hold it out of my way when watering or watching.

Here are some outdoor pics taken today. 3 or 4 of these are from some very decent homegrown bagseed. 1 or 2 are from some low-mid grade commercial bagseed. Thanks to RIU, the males were all removed immediately. I should have at least 2 - 3 more weeks of decent weather. Hopefully all goes well.

Here are a few more shots from today. They sure do smell good when I give them a light squeeze and bury my nose in it. I decided not to do a separate journal for these because they are almost done, but I may create one this winter out of boredom. I just picked up some bricked up schwag to tide me over. I am so ready to be done with mediocre bud. My new homebox should be arriving tomorrow, I am very excited. I have a few weeks to prepare it.
Enjoy

I went in to check on my babies 20 minutes ago and my fan had quit working. It was 90+ degrees in there. I gave them all a drink and got a new fan working. I am worried that I topped these too early, but I think they look healthy. Most of them have 4 main branches now. The 2 on the left are feminized white widow and the other 4 bagseed. There are some ugly spots on the lowest set of leaves on all the bagseed plants, but the new growth is all clean. I think this may be because some fertilizer got on them a few weeks back. That was the only time I fed them, and I think I will wait until they go into my flowering tent. I am very new to this if anyone has any advice I am very appreciative.

Here are a few more shots taken this morning. Hopefully we get another coupla weeks before frost. Last night was very rainy. Weather has been very nice for this time of year. I was thinking of digging up one of the smallest ones and putting it under my HPS before it freezes. Has anybody had luck with this?

I just tried to hook up my 400 watt HPS from eBay and it does not work. I can hear the ballast hum, but the light will not turn on. Am I doing something wrong? The bulb did not screw in easily, but I did not force it either. I used cloth gloves and was very careful to keep the bulb spotless. Any suggestions?:wall:

I could not get a response from the ebay seller. After consulting a friend I ordered a refurb from an online shop.http://www.insidesun.com/index.php They worked great for my friend. As for the ebay seller, just one of those things that happens I guess. I have 180 into it including shipping, and if I return it, I pay shipping costs and a restock fee. I guess I can just keep it for spare parts. Eventually I hope to not spend so much damn money on all this stuff. I did get a 6 inch inline duct fan from menards. hopefully this will be adequate ventilation. I have a 4 inch dryer duct at the bottom to let air in, I may swap it for 6 inch. I am pretty bummed about my light, but nothing money and time can't fix.
I am not happy with the sellers hidden return policy and lack of communication. I do not want to leave negative feedback because I do not want to draw attention to this purchase.

Hopefully it will speed up the flowering. Here's a few pics from this morning. Yesterday, I carefully cut off 2 buds for a sample. Hopefully it will be dry enough to enjoy during Sunday football even though my Bears are shitting the bed. I am hoping for a few more weeks of decent weather. My girls got a late start in May and need some more time. Happy Harvesting everyone.

My HPS is still not working, I'm waiting on a refurbished unit. I transplanted my babies today, I gave them about 400-500% more root room. I think that may have been part of the leaf problem. I will keep them under the cfl's for another week or so until I get the HPS light going. They were all root, except the smaller white widow. The front 2 on the right are the white widow plants. I had to move them to my homebox because the rubbermaid was not big enough for the pots. These are at least 2 gallon pots, maybe bigger. I hope they will be sufficient.
Peace and green bonghits to anybody reading this. Thanks for checking out my journal.

how do u put the light from the plants

I have cfls hanging everywhere, usually about 4 inches from the plants. I have 8 total cfl's, I think they are 24 watts each.
