Damn. Thanks Cheetah. I read a years worth of threads on drying and so very few of them said to not judge by the snapping stems. There is no lack of conflicting information out there.

I think that you (and ffd2blk) have solidly swung the tide in favor of me getting my buds into jars ASAP. I will see if I need to do some re hydrating as well. Hopefully, they didn't dry too fast and won't forever smell like hay.

Soon then (probably tomorrow) I can report back with what my yield was from each plant. Stay tuned.

Phew. Well, that's over. Clipping and pulling off cat hair is a bit tedious. But I got it all into six jars now. I think it's safe to say that it's dry. Nothing felt wet to me but nothing crumbled either. So I think it was good that I jarred it today. So for the numbers...

The short plant yielded 2.27 ounces
The taller yielded 2.65 ounces

So total it weighs 4.92 ounces. WOW!!! That is much better than I ever could have anticipated for my first grow off of just two plants. I really didn't think I would get anywhere near that. I'm so happy that the plants managed to make it to the end despite my best efforts to kill them. What valiant fighters!

And I guess now is a good time to say thanks for all the people at RIU who answered my questions, gave me advice and gave me encouragement. This website has taught me a lot and I'm pretty hooked on this new hobby. Thank you all.

I'm still around! I did have to take a break from society though. I went camping.

I don't have a ton of experience with different kinds of weed, but to me it seems like great stuff. I can take one hit and be pretty happy for a few hours. I still feel energetic and engaged with things and people around me, which is just what I was looking for. I don't feel tired or groggy the next day at all (which is how crappy weed makes me feel.) I'm very happy with it.
