My First Grow And Journal

Well I been at this for a little over 3 weeks going off my research and friends who farm. This is a 8x4 Grow tent .. I will be running 2 1000 watt hps vented hoods in this tent once my electrician comes this week .. right now im using one side with a 1000 watt mh for veg. But once this electrician comes I will be able to set my 400 watt MH up for a small veg area .. and use the tent strictly for flower.

So far I feel I'm doing ok but I would love to get this up incase you guys spot something or have opinions about anything.

So .. right now im running 2 querkle clones from sub cool seeds.. 2 blue dreams... 2 chem dawgs.. and 2 hindu Kush... I will start some genetics from seeds once my veg room is started.. but these 8 ladies will be my first grow.

SO .. this is my ladies today.. let me know what u think.. the chem dawgs are 2x the size of the rest .. but they were large clones from the start.. The Hindus are really getting nice and Bushy.. Blue Dream and Querkles are a little behind but are starting to really get going. Here is a bunch of pics of them from today. I am seeing some light green on the blue dreams.. hoping its just rapid growth .. we will see..

O and some more details... Ocean forest fox farms soil... GH 3 part nutes.. at approx 1/2 strength at this point... 18 hrs of light ... Temps at CANOPY are 68-73 during lights off and 75-82 during lights on.

Pic time... I also backed up a little so you guys can see the basic layout of the tent currently.. I will be adding a second 1000 watt here soon and duplicating the grow on the opposite side.

I am looking for opinions also on how much longer to veg.. if i plan on only running 8 plants on each side.. 4x4 area.

On my next update I will put the plants in order according to strain so you guys can see whats what.. but the Tall ones in the middle are my Chems.. The two bushy ones on the left front and back are hindu's... On the right front and middle are blue dream.. and the back right and middle left are querkle.. lol sorry if thats confusing..

Please feel free to give me ur opinions.. criticism .. advice... props.. anything .. im eager to hear!

Well Im gonna keep this journal going mostly for my own records too.... but hopefully ill get some insight from this forum... I havent been updating cus I was battling EVERYTHING... first one plant had PM.. TRASH. No signs on any of the others.. and its been a few weeks.. My humidity is less then 40 pecent so im hoping I wont see anymore of that.. did some treatment.. did a sulfer burn .. then 2 weeks later treated all the plants with neem.. havent seen one spot . Also found mites on 2 of my clones that were thankfully in quarantine in another room.. Treated those guys with 4 treatments of Rasta Bob's Death Mite. Really impressed with that stuff.. I dont think it would help a infestation.. but as for the couple I found.. wiped em out! .. So anyhow.. Now I have 2 Hindu Kush in flower.. 2 Chemdawgs.. 2 querkle.. a Blue Dream..1 Blueberry Mama and a Purple Kush mother I got from a friend in the collective. They have been in flower for 8 days.. and are looking GREAT in my opinion. Thumbnail Sized buds all over already . But feel free to comment. I also built a closet Veg area.. I have 5 Purple Kush 3 White Widows and 2 querkle and 2 Alien Dog OGs waiting for the next round. For my veg I am just using a t5 4 bulb 4 footer .. and the growth is slower but still lush.. I really like the slower growth because I think it will give me time for my Flower to finish. My tent is exclusivlely for flower now .. I have 2 1000 watters in there.. One is a eye hortilux bulb.. other is a cheapy bulb.. next round Ill run all hortilux. Ill try to get some good pictures up tonight when the lights come back on. This is my first Solo Grow .. so please give me ur opinions.. praise riticule .. whatever it might be. Thanks.

This is My ChemDawg.. I have 2 the exact same size... Im so curious what a plant this size will yield because all of the other members in our collective grow Tree's and get 6-8 per plant.. Im trying to grow smaller plants and just grow more of them.. since Im in a tent and have Height limitations.

Thats all I have on my phone but I will take more tonight... Hoping to start getting some action on my Journal... I dont wanna go at this alone LOL.

O one more thing I forgot .. half the tent is on 1/4 strenght GH Flora 3 part nutes.. other Half is on FF Tiger Bloom... just for comparison reasons.. all veg was done with the GH nutes.. but the plants hardly needed em .. think the soil was enough because everything stayed very Green in Veg.

That blue dream is a lucky score for sure! I just had some of that come through town, in fact all the clones were a nice one. I wish I lived in a state, but it's only a matter of time. Good luck with the grow, I will be following for sure.

Here's a couple pics of my ghetto closet that im using for a veg area...these will be for my next round... Strains are querkle ... Purple Kush.. White Widow .. and Alien Dog...When I got these clones they all had some heat stress.. but now I have them looking pretty healthy also have some beans in the mail







I have a few questions for you guys.. I know its impossible tell exactly how much yield.. but am I ok to estimate atleast 1 OZ a plant? all my plants are approx 18" to 3ft at this stage.. and I have 2000 watts over 9 plants in a 4x8 area.. Im hopeing to atleast yield enough on my first grow to cover my cost of elec... soil.. ect. OK done with this crazy long post... please give me your opinions ect. PS white spots are sulfur dust spray..had a clone that had pm.. killed it but sprayed em all to prevent

what kind of soil mix do you got going on @ alotaball?

just needa know kuz i got a blue dream clone and its growing pretty slow. any advice @ alotaball?

Im mixing Fox farms ocean forest... with 30-40 percent perlite... Im probably gonna try another mix on my next grow.. but this Fox Farms has been good.. I really didnt have to use any veg nutes.. I just didnt like how it drained so I added perlite.. now I like it alot... plus its alot cheaper when you cut it with perlite. Also I relized with my bluedream it seems to like to be watered heavily .. then dont wanter till its really dry... almost ready to droop.. then water heavy agian.. im no expert by anymeans .. just noticed that my blue dream enjoyed the wet dry cyle as opposed to several light waterings. Nice! Lookin good. Those 1000 watters are gunna blow things up in there. Also, quite the variety your working with. Feeding all of them the exact same thing? And last question - does each light have it's own fan and filter? Def sub'd for this one. Good luck with the garden!

And as far as an oz a plant, I would say that should be a nice conservative guess. In all reality if your doin things right you should blow that out of the water. With your air-cooled hood system how close are you keeping the lights to the top of the canopy?

My setup is kinda weird but its worked.. I have a 8-10 degree difference from my ambient temperature to the tent temps with 2000 watts and the ballast. On the extra hot days I just rig my intake ducting to pull from the central air ac vent. I will take some pics of the setup next time I update on here. I have the lights approx 8 -14 inches from tops.. with no real heat issues.. i can keep my hand there with no problem. As for the question of feeding .. yes I have been feeding about the same with the exception of the querkle.. seems to burn real easy.. I plan to only grow 2-3 strains at a time in the future.. but I wanted to try some of everything I had available to me ... If you guys have any soil experience with the GH flora 3 part nutes.. or Fox Farms Tiger bloom .. please let me know.. im new to all this and have been giving them very little nutes because they have stayed so green . I just am really afraid to over fert. Thanks for joining guys.. I cant really share any of this with people I know for security reasons.. so its nice to have some people to conversate with and get insight from.

But, yea... you made a good point in just keeping on posting for YOU to look back on.... Think that's what Im gonna start doing, since I know how it is around here with alot of members..... They see your low post count, and forum status, and automatically put you in the noob section, and wont even bother commenting or giving you your props.... You're doing good, buddy.... Blue Dream IS lookin sweet! ..... Never fails to impress, and an easy grower, and can spot the genetics a mile away.... Been wanting some... I thought about buying some seeds of some that is supposedly blue dream, but even if it was, it would most likely not be the same pheno as the clone being passed around cali right now, so dont wanna dish out the 150 bucks a pack of blueberry x super silver haze I can make myself...
