Ok,so ive got about 4'x8'x6' of space in the side part of my closet. I have currently running a 400 watt MH and HPS light. Mylar covers every surface, i fabricated a door on hinges so i can shut it up. Cooltube running frombottom of box to light, from light out top of box to ceiling of closet. I have 4in hole drilled into insalation. So air gets pulled in through cracks around closet door, into box , through ducting, through cooltube and straight out of box to ceiling. I have seperate veg chamber above on a shelf. My question for the moment is will the heet and odor from ventalation going into ceiling cause and problems. i.e odor going through whole house or being to hot for insalation. Any advice would be great, ive also looked into scrog methods to make sure my plants stay short.

k the way i portrait ur set up is a "box/tent" thats in a "closet"???... u have air coming in the box from a room within ur house(not ouside air)... its runs past ur light (the light is not glassed in the reflector) and out of the box and into ur attic (crawl space above ur house)??? is there any other intake or outtake besides the cool tube, and if so r they equiped with fans??? and whats is the measurements of the box, 4 wide, 8 long, 6 high??? and ur veg room is in a sperate room that harbours ur flowering "box"??? correct any details that r wrong with this... this is how i see it in my head and im jus tryin to understand it all so i can shoot ya my 2 cents

Yeah, sry. I was stoned when i posted it and didn't remember i had until i noticed a reply.
Ok, my setup is simply this. My space is 4sqft(floor), and 6sqft(tall). I use the walls for three of the sides and a plastic paneling piece for the door. Mylar is covering all surfaces inside box.
My air circulation is even simpler, from the ceiling down is ducting. Routed into the box from the top it goes down and connects to my light's cooltube, from the other side of the cooltube the ducting goes down and rests on the floor. An inline fan is on the bottom and another is just above the box, both in sequence with each other. So essentially yes, my air comes in from another room in my home, and eventually into my ceiling.
I havent had ANY problems with odor or sound which have become an incredible accet. Makes all this that much easier.
However i am slightly worried about the heat from the lamp, will it cause problems in the ceiling/attic? And do u think that is enough fresh air flow? I can feel it pulling around my door when its shut.
My veg chamber is in the same closet on a shelf above the box. Has its own soft florescent and a small area fan blowing air onto them. I figured if the other fans were pulling in fresh air then all i needed to do was make sure the air around my smaller plants was moving.
I hope this makes alot more sense then my other post, and my apologies. Thx for your patience.

Ok, I've remodeled so to speak on my design. I've removed my fake ceiling and left it open. I've moved my fan up and directly into my ceiling hole. So the fan now pulls air from one side of my cooltube, up and directly into the attic. I moved all insulation around the hole so it has open easy flow out. I also replaced all ducting with insulated ducting to help with the removal/containment of heat.
No odor at all around the house, however i do have the issue with my fan now. I can hear it through the closet door and that could b a problem when i have female guests over.
Any suggestions would be great.
