I am growing a sweet seed fast bud. I have been using 18/6 under 2x26 6500k cfl and 2x23 6500k cfl. I plan on adding more soon. The girl doesn't seem to mind the extensive heat. I know the sweet seed fast bud come from Ruderalis and I've heard they can stand some pretty bad heat. Today I checked on her and her next set of nodes is coming in. I'll have pictures up ASAP.Hi there ! Well a bit small for 3 days but healthy!..Ihave grown several verieties of auto and i must say there not the best tasting but not bad..If you where growing for a cash crop with autos forget it ,IF you get 20 g's off of 1 plant ill be surprised..is it lowrider #1 or easyrider ...?its realy not even a good idea for a first timmer they are VERY touchy on nutes and conflicting sighns of problems like the budda i have going now ..It has red stems(means need P,K) but also spike up fringe of leaf (that means to much nutes or salt lock but i havent given any nutes at time it started)..Not not much info transfers over to grown phtoperiod plants..Get some superbud seeds...the finish flowering in short time ,big yeild, great tast and easy grow for a newbie(no offence )and does well under CFL ..IU to am a CFLer .and cant wait to see your next grow!Hope you dont end up with heat problem..if you can get dry ice do it it will help cool and add co2 to grow space..Your doing a good job keep it up!!!!!!!!!! and for the lowrider they recomend 18/6 if i remember corectly..peace and bong hits for all!
EDIT,.also if you need soil from home depot try this
1 bag mushroom dirt
4 cups(or so)perlite
4cups vermiculite
as directed bone meal...(on bag will tell you how much to use per sq.foot or yard )
as directed blood meal...(on bag will tell you how much to use per sq.foot or yard )
This is a mix i used for a few years then started useing fox farm OCEAN FOREST.they have micro nutes guanno, worm casting and other stuff in mix for 25$ a 1.5cft bag..alot cheaper then buying everything you need to make good soil...hope this helps..
Thanks! Even if she is kind of slow growing I am loving every minute. Her new nodes are coming it and it's very exciting. I just don't know what I am going to do... the temperature HAVE BEEN SO HOT this past week it's been 90's all week round..Looks good to me man. You are at the most boring slowing growing part of your grow right now. You are also at the most sensitive part of the plants life cycle. Looks very good and stout. Keep up the good work and she will treat you right in the end. REP+
One thing I learned very fast when I first started growing inside was you need constant air flow in your grow area. This is a necessity. The other thing I learned was you need more air going out than coming in. I notice when I go to open my grow cabinet there is alot of suction on the door when I try to open it. This means my box is optimal air movement. I would recommend you getting another exhaust fan and putting that on there. That should fix all your problems and you will notice your grow will go alot more smooth and temps should drop about 10 degrees believe it or not. Also you want to make sure you get your intakes down as low as you can! Remember heat rises. Thanks! Even if she is kind of slow growing I am loving every minute. I guess I forgot to mention I am only using 4 atm 2x23 6500k above and 1x26 6500 on each side. Also I was just reading a lil bit and noticed you have 6 bulbs on the girls. You dont need that many right now. She is very young and sensative and you can actually soak her in light making her very droopy. Any ways you can take out like 2 or 3 bulbs for now till you get more ventalation and then you can put them back in there. Any ways keep it up bub!!
Thanks for the support. Posting pictures soon!Yes you should be able to visually see if the heat is taking a tole on your girl. You will see the leaves start to curl upward or around the edges. They will start to look like small little canoes if it is to hot. Keep up the research and you will have some happy girls. Just remember you need more air going out of that box than you do coming in. STAY HIGH!!!
Hey man she is looking good. No signs of heat stress that I can see. The black bug you seen was probably a fungus gnat. I had them for a lil while. All I did to get rid of them was just let my soil dry out real dry before water and they die with out the moisture in there. Good luck with um.1 WEEK OLD

I found a small black bug hanging onto one of the leaves today. I haven't seen anymore of it's kind so I think it should be okay. She's enjoying an amazing temperature of 78 degrees with lights on tonight. Lucky girl, if only every night was this cool.
Nope, it was a small black bug that had a HARD shell. I tried to crush it with a penny but it just shot it away... Anyway, thanks! The temperatures have been so nice these past few days she's probably enjoying it so much. My second seed showed root today so I'll be planting it tomorrow or the next day. It'll be kept in ANOTHER location where the temperatures will ALWAYS be cool. I plan on putting her in miracle grow potting soil. I also picked up some miracle grow plant food 20-20-20 nutes today!Hey man she is looking good. No signs of heat stress that I can see. The black bug you seen was probably a fungus gnat.
