ok i live in upstate south carolina of the usa and it is getting to be cooler during the days and nights (between 60-85 degrees ferenhight) i planted right after easter and it has been an outdoor plant its enire life. the sun rises at about 7:10 and sets about 6:00-6:30 nowadays. shes a female plant and stands just over a foot tall but she has some pretty good bud formations on her.

THIS IS MY QUESTION(s)

when about should i harvest (this is my first harvest)
do the cooler temps affect the time? (i know frosts are bad)
when i finally do harvest what is the best method of drying?
its been budding for about... 2 1/2 months (give or take)

i have pics on the way but my fone wont send em to my email for some reason :-(

CAN ANY HELPING SOUL DO ANYTHING TO ENLIGHTEN ME AT ALL?

AND
next year when i till the ground where i plan to grow should i take half the soil i till and switch it with MIRICLE GROW POTTING SOIL? so the earth will be nice and healthy for the plant in months to come and also not too hard? or would this be a bad idea for some reason? ANY HELP GUYS?

ok one thing at a time

1 : when 70 - 75 of the white hairs turn red, or when your trichomes are about 50% cloudy 50% amber

2 : cooler temps is ok frost is bad... takes alot to kill a plant, might slow growth but it will be hard to kill

3 : cut your plant down, remove all the large fan leaves hang up for two days, then manicure your bud removing as much leaf as possible hang for another two days, check for mold or other bud problems every other day......until your buds are dry, when you are able to snap the stems put your buds in a mason jar and seal, place it in the dark for at least 3 days..... after that you can smoke, but I suggest you let em sit longer,... make sure you check your buds daily and open the jars to let air in and around your buds...."burping out" moisture that has built up..

4 : post pics

it is best to get one of those 30x magnifiers you can buy at radio shack. they look like a little flashlight with magnifiers. place it against your buds and check what your trichomes look like. if they are all clera it si to early to harvest. but if 60% of them have turned amber to redish in colour then they're ready to go. if they are bending over and are amber in colour you have waited a touch to long and should harvest immediately, the longer you wait the thc degrades

my suggestion is to take your miracle soil mixture and till as much it you can into the area, the more the better, if you can search through a forest for some petrified wood and smash it up and mix it in the for the winter, the heat generated should warm it up enough to kill anything alive and you'll be left with some nice soil in the spring!

my plants by the way are about a week and a half away from harvest, Ill keep you posted for sure good buddy. pz out
