That should be allright, but it wont be allright if ya not gonna burp the jars often after puting the buds in jars.

I dont get this, do you wanna keep the jars closed for 3 days while you away, and then burp them often?? Not sure if this is what you meant. If you did, it's not advisable, rather leave the jars open while you away.
 
I know of 2 people who didn't strictly follow the sometimes long curing process. Both were supposed to be growing top shelf meds. Both were dissapointed with the results. And, theres no taking it back either. No way of re-curing. Where's your priorities bro ? Stay home, and cure your meds proper. You'll thank yourself in the end. Leave them back at ur place for the 3 days. put them in a rubbermaid with about half a dozen millimeter holes. put them somewhere with a small ammount of air flow. they shouldnt dry out to fast while your gone like that, and with the little bit of air slowly drying your bud your still helping to prevent mould. Otherwise if its not a big hassle for you and your not worried, bring it along with you and just burp them.

It doesnt look like you got much..

But the potency of a marijuana plant depends on how much light it recieved if it was taken care of, the strain, and thats about it. Lol if you didn't get off it then im not sure if you smoked it right or did enough. I dont think drying it has anything to do with increasing potency... so I duno whats up with that.

Id say take a piece off blow dry the fuck out of it for 10 mins take a huge bong rip and see if u get baked.

8 hours is nothing....dont even worry about that. Burp them before you leave and when you get across the state burp them again. I leave mine sealed for 10-12 hrs at a time.
 
ive done this,my early skunk plants been drying for about 5 days,i smoked a j,and it didnt really do much at all to me,i felt a bit different,but not stoned,and it looks like killer bud,i def think the drying and curing has a massive effect on potency
 
if your leaving this week and its only been drying for 3 days,why not just let them dry while your gone??you cang dry them for up to 2 weeks..
 
No the bud will NOT become more potent during curing process. You cure buds for the smooth and better tasting buds. They actually degrade and become less potent during curing but it is so little you wont know the difference but you will taste the difference of a good cure that is for sure!
 
i made the mistake of jaring some of my harvest ..... when they appeared dry .....
got a little mold ...... i would wait 5 days atleast.....
one of my jars molded alittle .... after i only dried for three days..... seee you cant always tell when u burp em cause the mold starts in the core where are doesnt hit.......
