My First White Widow Grow 400watt In My Homade Tent

taken today 9/3/2011
added some eyelets to pots and gave the room a clean
also got 2, 150mm fans on the way 220v 36 watt
should do the job on the tent not worrying bout carbon filter at this stage if smell gets bad i will
also im growing in coco run to waste
i have some canna veg which im gonna use for now but near out anyone got any suggestions for
nutrients?

Great man i love watching the start of new grows,,,hahaha only cos i cant get one growing myself (well indoors at least) copy and paste ya pics from the aussie thread on here, and dont forget to add some colour you can do this by clicking the little icons on the top section of a post, they also have things lie thumbs up and smiles and light bulbs and what not, they add to the fun of it i say!
EDIT: Hahaha you musta done it as soon as i was typing it. good job on the panda film work! also how did you go trying to have the area wher the pots are on to be spill contained, thats a good project while ya waiting in the seedling stage,

ok just got some supplies from these guys Discount Hydroponic Supplies ordered direct an saved 5% also
got a set of hanging yoyo's 6 meteres of 150mm ducting 4 300mm suacers ended up copying odlaw when he grew his ice kush and got cyco bloom a and b and got 60ml of superthrive
now that i have done that should have everthing i need to grow some nice juicy buds

Hi mate nice start 
I like your tent it looks like it has plenty of space to house the 4 ladies in comfortably until they deliver the goods. Im using cyco a+b grow and bloom aswell and thats all you pretty much need, i have all the other cyco additives but for the first couple of coco grows i have just kept things simple and only used the a+b grow/bloom, you picked the right nutes for your coco medium youll have nice buds with cyco platinum and ice kush is a awesome smoke man, perfectly grown odlaw got his shit dialed,
Its funny how you and i are using the same light, nutes, medium and strain lol, it'd be interesting to see the different results, im sub'd

haha hope it turns out ok total noob here.
amd tricka yeah the superthrive is 1/4 of a teaspoom per gallon so 10 litres is like 3 gallons so work it out from there.
also i got that from a home brew store tricka the hydro store doubles as the homebrew store so i grabbed it there is a guide on how to make that co2 setup.

got a few questions for you masterhemp i heard with coco sometimes ya have to add cal/mag have you ever had to add it?
also i recomend Discount Hydroponic Supplies to any aussie my gear over night awesome stuff very happy with these guys and will buy again
another question for you growers can i do my whole grow at ph 6 thats what im thinking of doing
ya can get this stuff which fixes your nutrient solution at ph6 i think im gonna do this as im a noob an it will be nice and easy

Yeah Discount hydro is great, i purchased from them many times :lol
If your using coco specific nutes then you wont need cal/mag i dont think, i havent used cal/mag at all and havent run into a cal/mag problems.
Usually tap water has good cal/mag for the plants unless your filtering them out with reverse osmosis.
Odlaw was using r/o water his last grow and ran into a small cal/mag problem and when he switched to tap water the next grow he didn't run into that problem again, so i kind of learnt that from him, also if i were you i would lower the ph in flower for sure to like 5.8 because when the plants go into flower there going to require good P and K and between 5.5-6.0 is a good number, if it ever goes above 6.0 when your in flower then its a high chance you will get a phosphorus or potassium deficiency and you wouldn't want to lock out these 2 main elements in flower
Just stick with 6.0 for veg and 5.8 for flower, you could even do 5.8 the whole way through if you'd like, i done that on my first grow, but the plants seem happier in veg when the ph is more on the high side 6.0-6.1

ok cheers man i ordered some more stuff today got that stuff that keeps ya ph at 6 i can always lower it 2 points with vinigar can't i?
also i just got a $7.50 ph test kits as i have spent to much already and i got some buffer stuff for my ec pen i never knew u had to calibrate them.

man i just calibrated my ph meter 2 days ago it was off by 4 points, fuck! lol
i think viniger is a short term fix, meaning after a few hours the ph might go back up, you need something more stable like hydro ph up and down, havent tried viniger though so cant comment on it, if your only going to lower by 2 point you can just go to your local aquarium and pick some ph down, that should do the trick

3-4 drops if its tap water with no nutes, maybe 1 drop depending how strong you mix the nutes

Thats just a guide so make sure you check it before watering.
Hey if you dont ask you dont learn.
Have to look into it but im pretty sure you dont use superthrive during flowering, i only use it to root clones and in the first watering in veg.

P.S I use Superthrive at all stages of growth, just in varied amounts. Do it by feel though as Organics don't read on EC Meters.

Yep just like rusty said, when you mix nutes with water that lowers the ph depending on how strong you mix your nutes.
If you go by the feeding schedule on the bottle your ph will be quite close to where you should have it anyway, also make sure that you check your ph level after you add your nutes and before you put in that 6.0 ph balancer, and if it's out of whack then put your ph down, you might not even need the ph 6.0 product unless your using it for plain water but the nutes should get it down close to where it should be at hope this helps your understanding abit.

Ive never really had massive colas worth talking about, but white widow has changed that for me i got some monster colas this round Im sure you will too, its great genetics and they can take some abuse, i started with regular seeds so they can take abit more abuse then feminized lol
