i think he is gonna flower with cfl's...@weedxmanxeli...make sure to get a bunch of warm flouros....i would recommend a mix of spectrum if you gonna go cfl the whole way....i.e. 2700k is a warm flouro and 5500k and up are cool bulbs...
both bulbs serve a different purpose in your veg cycle and your flowering cycle...so to be safe you can mix the spectrum with cool and warm bulbs as to have what the plants needs at any given time or you can veg with cool bulbs and flower with warm bulbs your choice....

Yeahh. I was planning on flowering with CFLs but the 2700k. I was also goiong to get a Y-Splitter so I could put more lights into the top of the box for extra lighting. I'm not flowering for about another week or 2 weeks so they can grow older and possibly yield more. I was wondering if they get to tall in flowering can I LST them in flowering or what should I do if they get to tall because I know the double to triple in size during flowering and IDK how bug they'll be when I'm done vegging. So would LST be fine or what would you guys recommend?

if they get too tall you can supercrop....snapping the stem so the plant will lay down this wont hurt the plant and exposes more of the stem to the light which is ideal....you can direct any questions on supercropping to honkeytown he actually did it jus to show us how its done and had pictures to document it the whole way to harvest, trust me it'll be worth it!!!!

. lol jk bro...i say tho if you can afford even a 70 watt hps then get it and throw it in there...it will still beat cfl's homie. as for supercropping....just read back about 20 pages..i know it seams like a lot but its really not...or you could click my name and look for forum posts...will take you there quicker. or these boys can fill you in on how to do it too. you btw can lst or supercrop all the way to harvest...just dont top em in flower

Ok. If I get a 70 W HPS could I use it in normal lamp or bulb thingy? Or would I have to buy a specialized one for HPS Bulbs, even though it's just a 70W? And I'm going to LST and I might try a little supercropping to see how it goes and works out for me! And I just need to go see how much a 70W HPS would be. I could use that 70W HPS with all the CFLs I have too right? And I will look into supercropping now.

hps bulbs need a ballast for them
but if u used the 70w hps and like 5-6 cfls, you should have a great lighting source

I suggest jus getting a 150hps from your local grow shop....its jus makes no sense to go all flouro if you want specific results, i mean sure they can flower for you but from what i hear the buds wont be compact as they would if you used a hps....theoretically you can use those flouros for side lighting....and if you follow the rule and that rule being that 75 true watts to 100 true watts per plant is a happy ass plant...i say true because those flouros are marked for equivalency so it might say 300 watts but only truly using 65watts or the standard 100 watt that really uses 25 watts so to get the true watts you would have to use 4 flouros marked at 100 watt equiv. improper lighting can lead to popcorn bud and long lanky plants trying their best to reach the light....
You can purchase a complete system for 99 bucks or if you ebay im sure you can get for cheaper...i would order so it reaches your house right b4 you start to flower or at worst a couple of days in flowering...gud luck!

use the 150 watt def worth it and def under the radar lol i am very very satisfied with what it has done in my small space so much i bought two of them to do a constant cycle mmmmmmm lemon skunk

flouros make more heat than a 70 or 150 hps would.....you would be surprised
i wouldnt even use em as side lighting...just get the heat out

250 hps is the best bet. its lowkey and plus 150 hps, not to dis them, but you dont get as much buds with a 250hps. if u spent the extra $$$
