I have a 1000my baby girls 008.jpg watt light , And would like to no weather my lights to close to my babies. I would also like to find out when the best time to start feeding thmy baby girls 007.jpgem. iv got them growing in organic potting mix with slow release fertilizer, iv only just repotted them in this soil and they seem to be lookingmy baby girls 006.jpg good to me. Iv got miracle grow 3 in 1 its got seaweed, fish oil and organic mix. is it to early to start using it now.

I would say the light is fine right now, but im a cfl guy so wait for one of the bigwigs to answer and you'll get the best answer. I started with MG as well and it really threw me off. You can tell if you pay attention to your babies(like im sure we all do) when they need the nutrients(i did after 4 and a half weeks, however if you re potted them in soil t will be faster. I have started my new round with COCO and after using it it looks like ill be sticking with it :)
And actually after looking at the photos better i think you need one of the "Mr ganja s" help you out..this site is a great tool for getting help and is the only reason I did so great!+ a lil me. looks like a pretty good start and with 1000w your gonna get some primo buds!

Really though i gotta recommend no more MG. It made my life so difficult when trying to figure out my nutrients. I'm still not sure 100% what the heck's going on. The COCO is way better this time around, and not too much more. you can read a million threads about it....promise..
And one last thing...I didn't learn about LST until after it was too late..i don't know if your planning on it...but if you didnt...do it..ridiculous difference...promise..

:leaf:Your freshly spouted seeds are in the seedling stage and are very fragile in this stage. Go to the Newbie section of the forums and read the "HOW TO GROW MARIJUANA" sticky. There's are alot of good advice there. If you throw those babies under a 1000w light, you will fry them. You can throw them under a 23-26 watt CFL till they grow a little taller and develop at LEAST 3 true nodes, you can veg them with your HID after that, just watch the distance from plant tip to light. Thet are fine with JUST water for up to 14 days after sprouting. I would bump up your PPM of your nutrients to 200-250 after 2 weeks. IMO, i would not use the miracle grow....if you have no other choice, you gotta do, what you gotta do...GL and post more if you need more advice. Remember, alot of answers can be found in other sections of the forums.:leaf:
 
looks fine if they are already under 1000 thats ok too. keep it high no nutes for four sets of nodes. 1/4 th strength after that...
 
They looking good, since they are already under that 1000watt just keep it, but I like to keep mine under a 2' t5 tube until they have about 3 nodes before I put them under HID
Put your hand where the top of the plants and hold it there for about 15-20 seconds and if your hand gets hot the lamp is too clone. and 1000watters get pretty hot.

No nutes for about 3 weeks and 1/4 or 1/2 the recommend amount.
 
Everyone I know will start the seedling under a CFL, T-5, 6500k light. Seedlings do better in blue light. Some of the bad things I've heard about the Miracle Grow time release is hot spots. Some areas of the soil has more nutes then other area's, not hating just saying what I heard. And you can keep that light a lot higher if it's a 1000 watt.

When you say 3 - 8 days old, do you mean from the time it left the germinating period, because mine looks nothing like that and its 3 days old in the germinating stage.
 
if i changed over to cfl,what wattage would u recomened me getting. my rooms 1.5 * 3 metters and i have 7 plants also would my plants get to cold now that iv had them under the hid light
 
no they came up at all different times the smallest one is 3 days old and what nutt do use recommened i use.
