Yes, I've heard of people using both throughout the whole process, just changing the hours schedule (18/6 to 12/12). The MH will promote tight nodes during veg, I leave my MH bulb in until I see signs of sex on 12/12 schedule, then once I determine I'll change to the HPS bulb. Hope this helps


Edit: about the flourescents, you could stand them up vertical in the corners would help the bottoms of the plants that the big light doesn't penetrate to.

have you heard anything about 120 watt aerograde philips lights and if they work?

and i wasn't thinking about standing them up, i was thinking about dangling open sockets(with 100w cfls) between the foliage from the shelf in my closet :mrgreen:

Believe it or not those bulbs will get hot enough to scorch leaves if they grow into them, it'd be something to keep a very close eye on and be sure not to let the bulbs touch them.

Yea i've touched a 150 one and that shit is burning hot, suggestions? maybe a cone plastic jumpoff around the lights?

Looks like a winner to me :) If you have room though get them on the sides where they're not touching, looks like to me you have no more room on the sides. Seems to me they'll be blocking more of the more powerful light then the light they're putting out.
