If you take your pots that you plan to be final size and put them about where you think they will be, giving enough room between them to inspect your plants, when they get bushy, then figure your space beyond that for your sides, I think that'll give you a better idea of what you want, instead of planning a size, then trying to limit your plants to fit.
I'm planning a closet grow, and I have a 2x2 space, 4 1/2' height, and I plan on only one plant.

I guess I would keep it to one plant only then. Mayb start with two as there are chances of one being a male then chuck the male and grow the female big.

Yep.
I plan to pop 3 to make sure, but keep only one.
I don't know what I'll do if they all turn out to be female though, that's what happened to me this time.
All 3 that I started came up ladies. :)

Thats some good luck man. Any idea on how to make the exterior of the cabinet so that on seeing it doesn't give away the grow???

Ya, thanks.
I was really surprised when they did that.
Maybe try some of the contact shelf paper? Woodgrain, but you'll have to be careful someone doesn't actually mistake it for wood and sit on it LOL

sorry guys, its bin a while since i posted, so it has been 6 days of flowering, i am posting some pictures i took using a extreme macro lens. Can you guys see any flowering sign?
Also got a light burn 2 days back, now it is recovering. One of my plants has been stretching sideways quite fast since last two days, no idea why? :(

Now the reason i couldn't post was because i was off to parvati valley(heaven of hash) for 3 days. :bigjoint:

Also i noticed one of the roots coming out of soil so i added more soil on top of it.

if the roots come out the soil on top you may not be watering good enough this could cause roots to actively search for water and will become root bound water the soil throughly and the roots will form a root ball and will not out grow the container if its the right size for the plant roots of trees will go miles in search of water they shouldn't have too

everything looks fine man. no signs of sex yet. keep posting pics every few days but sexing a plant is night and day. it either has white hairs or it dosent. new growers often mistake male flowers for buds (i did when i first started) but if there are no white hairs it is not a female.

other than that looks good, like the other guy said make sure your watering thouroughly. you want to water slow and untikll your getting good runoff. sometimes if you let the soil dry out too much it will become hydrophobic and will repel water, so it seems like they are getting runoff but in actuality the water is just traveling down one small path and out the bottom. if this happens i just take a 5 gal bucket and submerse the entire pot in water untill you dont see any air bubbles coming out. may have to replace some soil that floats off during the process but at least you know all of your medium is wet. as long as the pots have good drainage and your allowing the soil to dry out for a day or 2 before watering again overwatering should not be an issue. PM me is you need to again

Still no sex, while watering today i noticed that they are stretching quite a lot lately, the lights are very close to the plants (have to move em up an inch or two every day). Its been about 10 days since i put em on 12/12 light cycle, any idea whats going on?
One thing i figured that i was using only day light CFLs even in flowering, i have put two warm CFLs today so there are total of 4 CFLs surrounding the plants, two white and two warm. What do i do about sexing?
