Hey i think you can help me. I am newbie here. There are a lot of plants near my house (about 20) half of them are of 5 foot and others are just at the ground.I usually buy from suppliers and i prefer pure weed mixed with hashish. I don't have anymore weed now. Please can you tell how to cut those plants and smoke them? I dont know the procedure. . Looking forward for your answer.

google will be of more help to you in that aspect than i will ever be. if you've found your way here you will certainly find a way there.

as for leds vs hids, i'm yet to see an unbiased comparative study, with the only variable being tested being the source of lighting. too many skewed studies out there by diff manufacturers, but a friend in cali tells me that his LEDs are nowhere near worth the investment. you have the option of growing vertically with HIDs which is the best way to grow for yield, can't do that with LEDs. His grows would suggest that LEDs have poorer penetration power, although they also suggest that the buds at the top of the canopy were of higher quality and had more sticky resin than the same clone grown with the same method/nutrients/environment etc from the HID, but the slight diff in quality does not match up to the diff in quantity. He can pull a lot more off of 2 sq metres SOG with HID than 2 sq metres SOG with LED, and if you bring vertical growing, his forte, into the picture, the comparison is far from worthwhile.

folks...it's been a very long time...but I will likely be starting a major grow operation in India, in a location of high humidity (by indian standards) and it will be about 100 sq feet...stay peeled and i'll keep updating, perhaps a new thread : )

i've learned a lot reading your thread man.i'm from the Philippines and you give me hope.
best vibes mate. turn that hope into action. it's the best thing you can do. i'm getting my indoor grow here in a place that has as much humidity as you guys have got so i'll be posting up shit on that soon. stay tuned

Yeah, Elchupacabra.. Sounds like you got something real sweet in the works! How you gon control the crazy humidity during flowering, tho? Definitely looking forward to this one, man!

i'll have a new thread up in a couple days for my indoor grow here.

regarding humidity, i will buy a dehumidifier if necessary, but i somehow fail to see how effective it can possibly be if you're constantly drawing air into the room and exhausting air out :-/ it would only work if you had a really powerful a/c in the setup such that the intake comes through the a/c, at least that's what i think...

but again, to take care of the humidity, i really do think having a lot of airflow and ventilation is the key to it...even if it's humid, if there's a ton of air blowing around i don't know if fungus will be able to form. i will obviously have to stick to the buds with a more sativa like structure. as of right now, i'm sort of doing a test run, just planning on running 1200W in the room (exclusive of veg) to see the potential problems i face. if it gets too hot, then i will have to do something about that, as well as the humidity. i think the key for me will be to have different plants in different stages of their flowering cycle.

i have done more than a little bit of research and i think the key to maintaining temperatures is to grow vertical bare bulb. i will be trying a 1 sq. mtr sog as well under a single 400w HID bulb and reflector just to see and make a comparison. ATM under 400W HPS bulbs without a reflector, my plants are as close as 4-5" away from the bulb and are showing no signs of distress whatsoever.

when growing indoors here, the problem i vastly underestimated was pests. fungus gnats love the soil, the way the moisture just stays, and they will screw up the germination of your seeds in a heartbeat. yellow sticky strips (gardenguru, bangalore) is a great way to cut down on the numbers. but they reproduce on the soil, so killing a mature fly doesn't kill its offspring. to do this, put an inch deep layer of construction sand or perlite on top of the soil so that the dirt is not accessible. within 2 days the sticky traps were peppered with fungus gnats and when i'd normally move a pot and see a bunch of flying irritating pricks, i now see none. updates very shortly with pictures. stay tuned for a new thread.

here's a teaser. with my phone its not possible to avoid the flickering of the hps bulb running on a magnetic ballast.

Looking good, fam! Yeah man.. I'd def say that controlling the pests and maintaining good ventilation were the most important areas when I was doing indoor. The pests in particular get fucking annoying, esp when dealing with em in the later stages. Get those 2 under control and ur pretty much good to go IMO.
From my experience.. if you have solid ventilation, it shouldn't cause any burn, unless plants touching the bulb. Extreme humidity is something I havent encountered, so good luck w/that. I think ur Landrace and Sativas like Malawi n dem should handle. I have in the past grown some Indica's in 70% humidity w/out probs, tho. Looking forward to future updates.

i've got the prests under control, i had fungus gnats but they're splattered all over the sticky traps, and the neem is keeping them from coming again, ive been spraying for about a month so the effects have just about kicked into power. i daresay my ventilation is fine at the moment, my plants are (at the closest point) as little as 2" from the bulb and no problems. one of them got a bit close last week when i was out of town and just about started touching the bulb and man that leaf is fucking toasted. i wonder

i made the biggest possible mistake when i went out of town - i left a single cfl on in the flowering room, by an idiotic quirk of fate (read: stonedness and stupidity) and although the plants have each grown at least 4" in the past 6 days, only two of them have preflowered, and they are two of the africans which have already experienced some ridiculous photoperiod fluctuation from their seedling days and have decided that they're decidedly male, which is irritating. one of them is my healthiest bushiest plant as well.

on the plus side, i watered half the plants with hesi coco bloom and a PINCH of epsom salt per litre cause they were showing a rapidly developing mag def...and i must say, the ones that were watered with a combination of my piss and sannie's beneficial bacteria are doing just as well as the ones watered with hesi nutes. kind of interesting but i guess one feed isn't enough to show a massive difference. again,. thread starting soon, i just want some good pictures first.

going to germinate seeds of sour diesel (from a cali cut), afghan skunk haze (from mr.nice) and safari mix (mandala seeds - perhaps one of my favorite packs of mixed seeds of an extremely high quality on the market! works out about 1Euro/seed excluding shipping. normally, at least half of the females are keepers. some of them even seem to exhibit some degree of hybrid vigour.
