My Very Own CFL Grow!!

Yeah, I think the gardening / landscaping places in the "Big" city are retarded expensive. But I'll keep looking and find a good source of Promix or FFOF or Sunshine #4. Other than great genetics, it seems like the grow medium and nutes are the most important aspect of getting the best medicinal herb in the end.

Thanks for the info and keep those beautiful picture updates coming :bigjoint: :bigjoint: :bigjoint: :bigjoint:

Mine didnt .. lol
growing nicely though

Did a few things here and there today
I'll take you through it.

1 LSTed the blueberry. This is the funniest looking LST ive done yet..
The plant is on the side so light is strong mainly on one side so thats why I did it in such a way jan27BBlst.jpg

I also transplanted the GWS clone i have flowering into a 3 gallon 1.5 didnt hold the roots too long on this one either. (no pic) it isnt sexy yet lol
Thats about it for the flowering room besides the usual try to get the lights spread the best possible way.

In my Veg room , my other blueberry clone has taken root along with my other lemon skunk clones..
I didn't need more clones but these are for the learning and the fun of MINI CLONING. lol
I take those skinny very tiny bottom branches and root them.
j27miniclone.jpg yes it has roots  and yes its a clone lol

If you take a look at my first pics i put my last mini clone in there (its the pic with my thumb towering over it)
here it is today!
jan27itsybitsy.jpg same plant differnt thumb ( my left thumb this time LOLZ)

Your babies are REALLY starting to motor along budski. I did not use one tie this time around but I will incorporate strings with pins and pinching for my next indoor grow. BB looks like Guliver waiting to be cut free by the liliputians. (sp). If I can afford an upgrade next time around I will but If I get a reasonable yield I may just stick with cfl'S. I WILL have an outdoor crop in come next memorial day. I already have about a dozen holes dug and prepped in locations I chose last year when the foliage was as thick as it would ever get. I also have a big stack of nursery pots ranging from about 5 to 10 gallons for a very COOL location.
:leaf:
You would like this spot kronnix. You have to wear knee high rubber boots to get through the water surrounding a funky little island and no one would even think about going there. Just no good reason and it looks like an angry swamp. HOPEFULLY I can afford to buy femmed seeds but if not I should have a bunch of Master Kush X sumpin.

Little worried bud. flowers are turning brown four weeks into flowering. Not sure whats going on but they really need to go another five weeks good lord willing. Do you think the browning is terminal or just part of the process?? If things don't go down hill fast I should be alright and I guess with CFL's you always could use if not need more light. I wonder If I would have been better off using purchased good potting soil instead of my own. It's/my soil has got to be good stuff but is there better stuff available. I just don't want to become a slave to the world of growing your own weed. Add it up and we have spent some money. Probably end up costing us more per gram than if we just bought it but this is FUN!! Rock on and keep it growing. Your plants and everyone elses four week old babies all look different. Lots of variation in methods and such but the plants don't seem to care. Yours have some great stucture and some look like they will have some serious dongs on them

That plant of yours in the green bucket looks like it could be split for cordwood or possibly fashioned into a piece of furniture and she's pretty!

Hehe maybe I can fashion some type of driftwood art with her carcass later!

YOur plants are ROCK'n! they are looking great! I have a few hairs going brown as well. I am not worried about it. I figure its the natural progression and probably the first hairs out will start browning from here out. Not sure but it makes sense to me lol. Optimal grow conditions can result in early finishing :-P

yea the hairs can confuse you, on my first grow the hairs started to turn about 3 weeks in and I thought they are going rotten but lol no, after you see the tips start to brown it will be a couple of weeks before they are completly brown, and a while longer before the recide back to the bud

I don't remember early browning happening with my outdoor chit. But I was not staring at those plants from inches away with a magnifying glass. I will assume NO problem. They look so happy otherwise. They have not had optimal growing conditions. Temps from 50 degrees up to 100 degrees.Driftwood art sounds pretty cool kronnix. haha. I had a baseball bat sized trunk from an outdoor grow next to my bed for years before realizing it was like balsa wood. Was not heavy enough to beat the dog with.

Hey all , Hope all is well

My ladies are just starting their 5th week of 12/12
Lemon skunks looking good and frosty, the buds are still small ( especially wehn sitting next to the GWS) bud are growing and looking real healthy so far.
The great white shark is looking ok too . I did get some nute burn on it from the last feeding so im going to cut back on the strength. And just in case I am letting my water sit 3 days instead of 1 before I use it. I am monitoring it and letting it dry out more beofre i attempt to adjust anything. Its not a terminal situation. she just got a booboo while we were playing lol
heres some pics . I included some of what I believe is nute burn. I thought at first phosphorus D because the color almost looked like it was going purple, but the leaves curled and it started some necrosis + most of my stems are green with only a few purple ones.

Maybe a little burn kronnix but NO worrys!! She will be fine. Give her a good cleansing and she won't even notice the little hitch. Which of your babies is #4 in your latest pics?? That is one frosty looking little lady that's for sure. You and I are running neck and neck down the backstretch!! I am just starting week five and our plants look very similar structure wise. I think we will both do OK.
:leaf:
I am going to try and produce a few seeds with the male bag seed plant I saved from the compost heap. Hopefully she will set some seeds for a rainy day. It will be a Master Kush X Bag seed which will be at least half good stock. Rock on budski. How long do we have to cure for?? Hopefully overnight is sufficient! What do you think we are looking at?? Right about a pound dry and cured?

Hey kronnix.. I hope I'm not horning in on your thread but it's not like I can show anyone in real life my grow. That really is NEVER smart even if your tight. You get pumped and excited with no where to share. I can't even show my ball & chain/wife.
My girls have been under 12/12 for a month and you guys made me feel a bit more comfortable about the early browning of my buds. It really is primarily the tips of the buds in which it is occuring and I think I'm on track. Well here are a few picks. Pretty darn good for 4 weeks of flowering.. I am at full strength with the fert now and I have had shorten the time between watering. It was every three sometimes four days but it looks like they are going to want it every two days or so. (I knew 2.5 gallon buckets were too small) I may just use a little less water and aim for a two day watering cycle. I may cut back my fert to every other watering like Fox Farms recommends. They really seem to enjoy the foliar feeding so I spray the hell out of them with a very dilute fert every time I open the box. The Stomata (sp) are very cool nute entrance ways.
:D
I still like frosty pic number four of yours Which of your babies is that one. I'm very happy with the way I pinned mine to lst them and you sure should be happy with the way the strings worked for you. Just shows you how many ways there are to screw with thse things. Way to grow kronnix and I think were both learning a lot AND having a blast doing it. :leaf:

Thanks for letting me be part of your grow. I was "sharing" a thread with another guy but his plants died so he ain't posting. wtf.

Lookn good Rottedroots which one is the smoker though? lol
cigarettes a good measuring stick for the pics
That frosty girl is the lemon skunk. It a hybred , but really shows it sativa side. I have read that it may take longer to ripen so i am hopng that gives it extra time to bulk up. you put in your earlier post on what to expect for a yield . I don't even have a clue.
I was trying to figure out before I started. Looking at my plants , I got more than I figured I would already =0.
Going in I decided that quantity will be easier to know on the second grow and to focus on the quality aspect more.
I figured I would get 1 ounce and be happy 2 would be perfect. If I get anymore then that would be make me blush with joy ? lol
I still dont know how to compare wet growing buds to dry by site. I've been counting lil buds and going ok 3-4 lil buds = a joint
