I know what you mean, I'm not giving up on JH2 or JH3. Two of the 3 seeds I germed 2 days ago finally cracked overnight and have a small taproot. I ended up putting them in a black sock under one of my empty pots (upside down) inside my grow tent where it's nice and warm, I figured it was worth a try after 48 hours and nothing... Either time finally cracked them or that nice warm spot did but whatever it was, I hope they are ready for soil by later tonight

Definitely the heat helped, the perfect temp for germinating seeds is like 80 degrees!

No I don't, I hate books but my wife loves them and we were at Borders the other day, I was really close to getting a book for growing but I was really cash poor at the time and passed. I might order one on amazon.com with the next pay period.
I'm going to germ all my seeds like that from now on, keep them in the dark and inside my nice warm grow tent, it's stays between 84 - 88. That was the most action I got from those seeds in 3 days

I guess for now it's not too big of a big deal, if the Jack comes out male, I'll breed it, if it's female, it'll be a mother. That one and Delilah are the only 2 I have going right now until the other one's go in soil.
So far it looks like that $100 offer guy flaked too, I was counting on that $ to build the cool tube. Luckily there are plenty of weeks left before flowering

Here's another little excerpt from Jorge's Book, about germing seeds:
"Cannabis seeds grow best at 78 degrees F (25 degrees C). Low temperatures (below 70 degrees F or 21 degrees C) delay germination. High temperatures (above 90 degrees F or 32 degrees C) cause poor germination.
Once germinated, move seedlings to a slightly cooler growing area and increase light levels. Avoid high temperatures and low light levels, which cause lanky grtowth."
So according to Jorge you wanna germ at about 78 degrees and then put seedlings in a cooler area to start and this should jump start 'em.
You think maybe where you've been germing your seeds has been too cool?? or too warm??

I'll take them out of the grow tent, where it's 86 currently, at around noon and put them back in my drawer until midnight and see if that does anything.

I only have 3 in soil right now, Delilah, JH1 and JH2 which hasn't cracked soil yet but did have a small taproot when it went in.
The rest are:
- JH3, small taproot but not long enough for soil yet
- 3 random medical seeds, 2 cracked with tiny taproots, hopefully be ready for soil by tonight or tomorrow morning.
That's all I have right now, plenty of room but no plants, lol

Well as long as they have started to come out, make sure they stay moist, warm, and no light. I have read that direct light to the seed and/or taproot, can cause slower germination.

BTW I think we can make the cool tube for around $40 to $50 bucks...
