My theory is they are attempting to cleverly sweep this bill under the rug....as seems to have been the case in SC.
What was the purpose of putting off the vote with the Health Committee afterall? It's all a ploy to make us nonchantly and conveniently forget what "we the people" BELIEVE in and WILL speak up about.
My understanding is that the vote has been held off until "next year"........ a day sooner and I'm RAISING HELL and marching in place of the entire Chinese army, LOL. You guys think I'm kidding too......ha, you don't know me, LOL. :cuss::bigjoint:

On Sunday, September 20, join marijuana policy reform supporters at Charlotte Hempfest. Speakers will discuss the benefits of medical marijuana. Several local bands and musicians will perform, including Dubconscious and One Big Love.
What: Charlotte Hempfest
When: Sunday, September 20, 12:00 p.m.
Where: 430 E. 35th St., Charlotte, North Carolina
Visit MPP's booth at the event and pick up our newsletters, brochures, and stickers.
This is the second Hempfest festival in North Carolina this year. Since the first, N.C. Reps Nick Mackey and Earl Jones have introduced a medical marijuana bill that could bring relief to the state's suffering patients. The North Carolina General Assembly's House Committee on Health held the first hearing for the bill in June.
Please support North Carolina's efforts by attending Hempfest on Sunday.
Sincerely,
Leah Harris

I wish I found out about this Charlotte festival sooner. I agree with something closer to the coast. I think Wilmington might be the place for that though.

I can see my driving around looking for this event, stressing to find it....pulling out a fatty, and around the bend here comes "the man."
Now, if I knew Charlotte like I know Wilmington, different story.
I lived there for many years.
