Need a lil Qb rig design help!

I have a rule, when I get antsy and wanna chop, I force myself to wait a set amount of time, as to not shortchange myself by rushing...
Id give them at least 2-3 more hours...
 
I talk myself out of spending the money on qbs only to keep finding threads with these ridiculous grows, ya, makes me want qbs all over again

I noticed hlg has some boards on sale for lol 47.00 each, they must be the outdated stuff?

Thank you for the compliment Diggs. Qb's do perform well. I have 2x qb96 elites also.Im only running 1 atm. Which boards are on sale for $47.00heh,I may grab one.
Outdated? lol...all of my lights will be "outdated" in 3 months.Lol my cobs are donsidered old tech or outdated and they still perform quite effing well!

What other type of lighting are you considering....strips,cobs etc? My next build will be a strip light.Just for the fun and diy part of it.

Hey bud, your welcome, i call it like i see it man, your one of the best posters on Riu.

They have the qb 288 on sale for 47.00 but only in 5000k, probably why so cheap.

Ya ive been considering all of the above, i absolutely love the timber cobs as well as the qbs and even looked into strip builds using the h-influx strips.

I am currently running a 600w hps in 1 4x4 tent and 2 x 315s cmh in another.

After this grow is complete i will be switching things up to a 4x8 flood table and begin my medi count grow ( 49) I am very seriously considering qbs or strips for the future.
 
That is very kind of you thank you and thank you for stopping by my old thread. I was going to just pic dump here but thought different of the idea.Timber does make great lights.They are a damn good company that stand behind their prodcut.Customer service is top notch IMO.

Ah yes, 5000k isn't their most popular spectrum I suppose.Might be just getting rid of stock.There are a few around that have experimented and use the 5000k.
Is there a reason you want to switch to led?

I've peeked in on a few of your grows.You will rock it with whatever choice you decide to go with,with the benefit of less power consumption overall. 4x8 flood table 49 count medi grow? Can you feeeeeeeel the envy I'm spewing from out yonder?

Honestly, there really isnt a huge reason to switch. I have 1230 watts of cmh/hps but I just like new shiny things? lol
In all honesty tho, i do feel the efficiency would pay for itself in the long run as our electric costs are high in this area. I also love the idea of less heat to worry about trying to control.

Im impressed with the uniformed light distribution of the qbs and strip builds, it seems you guys are covering every inch equally.

yes 49 count medi grow, very excited to get started, going through all the HC waiting game stuff now :)

Totally understandable,I too like new shiny things.I have no need,space nor the yeild for the lights I want to build.
The lower overall eletric costs and heat management are game changers in regards to qbs strips and cobs,with the exception of those that need that heat in the winter.
The yeild at 60-65% less wattage but being the same or better in some cases in the icing on the cake for me.
I'll be lurking your thread to see what you come up with.:peace:
