have 12 cuttings of Blue Dream just about ready to be transplanted but I am wondering what would be the best way to grow them in my 4x4 tent. I have two 600w led lights. I would like to do a sea of green SOG but I'm not sure how long I should keep the clones in veg to keep them from getting too large. Would appreciate any and all advice regarding these topics as this is my first indoor grow with clones!

Wow, 12 cuttings for a 4 x 4 sog, I like using only 2, yeah I have done 3 and 4 in that size space, but really just 2 is plenty to fill that entire space in like 60 days! Mainline them! Lay the clones down and let the main stem go in one direction, then turn the first node in the other direction, like you are trying to make a straight line with the main stem and the first node you have turned around so its staying perpendicular but its going in the opposite direction, then take the next node from both directions, and point those nodes in a up and down direction, like you are trying to make a cross, then grow all those nodes out to one foot from the wall, then let the ends turn upward, then work all the side branch those 4 main lines kick out!

What is sea of green? Why grow using sea of green method? What is the planting density?
The general principle is fast turnover. Minimal veg. A lot of the examples I have seen on the net, went with around an 8"/200mm plant spacing. Think this type of spacing would require some veg time, though.
But if you want to see an small grow example with no veg time. This is a favorite example.

Its going to depend on how well those lights light up the area. The led guys have a ratio they work with involving watts per sq foot. If done right one could set yield records with 12 Blue Dreams.
This is exactly what I'm looking to do but I think I'm going to veg the plants for while as I've got about 5 feet from my lights to the floor.

Not going entirely for yield but for quality and for the highest yield with shortest turnover.
They seem to spread the light fairly well but time will tell!

Is that 60 days your veg period?
I was planning on mainlining! But Ive just heard of something called "fluxing" that seemed to be the mainlining for smaller setups. Might you know anything about this?

Most put well rooted clones directly into 12/12 when doing SOG. If you plan on mainlining then you are topping, training and growing. Not really considered SOG.

For some growers, the plant count has to meet local regs. Guess thats why you do not see examples anymore. Biggest thing I took away from SOG, was why waste time and electricity to produce the lower part of plant that does not get enough light to yield? I have seen some "trees" that looked like trellised grape vines. The time and energy spent is disappointing. I can understand if a grower is forced by plant count restrictions.

That’s a very good call! I like your thought process on that! I’m looking on here the best way to fill up my 4x4 tent also like a scrog out sog method. No scripts for me! I’m gonna on 9 blues dream in 2 gallon fabric pots. Under 2 cmh 315 from msnl genetics.
