Need advice on attaching ducting to inline fans.

Hey I have two 6'' inline fans value line and ecoplus, but neither one has enough of a lip for duct tape or a hose clamp. So I was wondering how one would connect ducting.

I don't understand how im post use those the fans have flanges there's just not enough material to tape or clamp to.

Get a piece of sheet metal ducting and cut it to about 6" then attach it to the fan with some self tapping screws. Then you'll have something to connect your flexable ducting to. This can be a real pain in the ass so bring your patience....

that will work, or just go to home depot and get a 6 in start collar.in the heating and air isle.

I use zip ties to attach my flexible duct, there way smaller than hose clamps and very easy to cinch up tight.

I just wonder why it's to much to ask for an 1 1/2" flange on these fans. That would solve the problem.....

yea that and a lip on both sides. In reallity you need lip on both sides, but instead they just put it on the intake side. That makes no sense if your going to put a lip I think it should be on the discharge side. I only speaking about the ecoplus the valueline does not have any lip.
