when all other options are used up and he still doesnt give up the money, i think he should fuck the guys business up. calling the cops and making them watch the place is a good way to do that. plus lawyer fees will piss him off. might even get shut down, which should happen anyways because the guy is a thief.

retribution will not get you your money. It may feel good but it won't help you in any way. It could just bring you unwanted drama. Being persistent and informing everyone who does business with them is the only possible way to get your money. Even that is iffy at best.

k so i whent there today to see if i could get in the door and rang the door bell and all that but when i looked through the tinted window it was empty the couch in the front room was gone and the first door to the back room was wide open and again the phone was off. i was going to get one of those markers that you write on windows with and write that he dont pay his vendors back but idk if there is even a point if its not even open

and i looked at the business card and its actually called Universal Health Co-Op association and when i looked that up on that sight nothing came up and when you look up just universal health a bunch of different ones come up i know they have a facebook and the email that is on there inst real because i tried messaging him and it sent back saying the email doesn't exist.

Consignment is a shitty deal no matter what is being sold. People who've sold on consignment will tell you that their stuff gets lost, damaged and sold without being given their cut. It's just a shitty deal.

I don't think the cops can help much unless you just want to screw him up. Unpaid bills are a civil issue not a criminal issue.

You have to decide whether you want to get even or get paid.

The best way to get paid is to make a persistent nuisance of yourself. Show up on a regular basis. Call on a regular basis. Wait until you see customers walk in, follow them in and start discussing your account in a voice that is a little to loud.

My guess is that it wasn't their original intention to rip you off. It's a badly managed business and they don't have the money to pay all their bills. In that situation people pay the creditors who give them the most trouble and let the others stew.

In every business you have to expect some losses for unpaid accounts, especially if you sell on consignment. It's worth trying to get your money but at some point you just have to sigh and move on.

It amazes me how easily suggesting calling the police rolls off your tounge. It's very clear what you would do should you be placed in a sittuation where you're being pressured to give up someone else's freedom to save your own. If you would call the police over a couple thousand bucks, you would definately cooperate with them to avoid jail time. I avoid negative posts like Ebola, but I cannot here. You disgust me, sir. I cannot believe that there's not a flood of people lining up to tell you the same thing. I spent almost 5 years of my life in Prison because someone just like you was stupid enough to get caught, but couldn't do the time on his own. So, he sold me up the river to save his own ass. 90% of the drug cases in the Fed Pen are there because of rats. Stop ratting and empty the jails. All I was doing was growing weed. One bedroom. 2 lights. Unfortunately, I had just taken clones, so my plant total was over 100. I urge you to not do any business with other growers, as you do not posses the integrity needed to do so.

i dont think you understand what i said. the guy stole his money. i said he should try everything possible to get it back first. you know, go talk to him and all that. he is supposed to be a legal business, right?! if he doesnt give him the money that HE OWES HIM, the guy shouldnt be in business. if he is running the dispensary legally, he shouldnt have any problem with the cops. if not, thats his problem. if he continues to be in business, he will rip off more people. growers work hard to produce a crop(as you know) and its not cool to steal that product from them. i dont think we should let people that steal from their suppliers stay in business.

That's snitching IMO. Legal or not, the cops are still not on our side. If people start calling the cops on each other as a form of retribution, this whole thing falls apart.

The cops won't help him get his money back. They are more likely to bust both him and the dispensary than help either. The cops are not our friends. If they had it their way we'd all be in jail. Let's not help the cops make their dreams come true, even if the club deserves to get fucked over. Find another way.

i know they wont let him get his money back. i just said that as an idea to make the guy go out of business because i was drunk and couldnt think of another way lol. he already seems to be out of business, so problem solved. i understand what you guys are saying.

what ways could you spread the word about that guy being a thief? like on weedmaps and what not?

There isn't a whole lot you can do about it TBH. I think it's more of a lesson learned than anything else. I won't do consignment unless I've done business with that club for a while or know someone who does.

yeah i think consignment is such a bad idea. especially since its still kind of illegal, you cant really sue if something like this happens.

Consignment has it's purposes. If you're doing a lot of business with a club expecting cash up front can be impractical. It you're bringing a club 5 packs, they aren't always going to have that kind of cash in the store. Or maybe they are having a bad week or something and need some better bud to get revenue. If a club I do regular business agrees to a premium price but asks for a few weeks to pay me off, not a problem for me.

What you don't do is give a club you've never done business with a consignment deal. No way. If that means selling a lesser amount, fine. But you never hand strangers a pack and expect to be paid. I've only done consignment with a club I've never vended to once, and that was harborside who has an outstanding rep for paying in full and on time.

What you don't seem to understand is that we never call the cops on other growers, sellers, users, whatever the reason. I cannot believe that you're defending your statement. People like you and me are on different sides of the planet from eachother. I don't hate you or anything. I just don't think your head is in the right place to EVER be involved in any cultivation or sales endeavor involving other people. My growing brothers and I place our very lives and our freedom in eachother's hands. The degree of trust there is staggering, and a true honor to behold. When someone shows me their 50,000 watt grow with 3,000 plants, they are saying that they trust me with their life. Both of us know that I could easily use that location for a "get out of jail free card", and trade his freedom for mine. I'm sorry to say this, but if you would potentially send someone to prison over a couple thousand bucks, I don't think you would have any qualms about sending them to prison if it were a case of you or them. It's not like you're alone. The Fed Pen is full of the victims of rats. The only way to keep that shit from happening is to develope strong personal rules regarding calling the cops. Maybe it is easier for me because I did spend time in prison, saw the wreckage of people's lives caused by snitches. I also saw what can happen to a rat when found out. It's horrible and something nobody should witness, but I feel zero sympathy. Anyone who calls the cops on another marijuana business person doesn't care about that person's life, freedom, or family. Why should anyone care about theirs. There is a line that we never cross...no matter what.

Now, if someone breaks into your house and is threatening your life, and you feel ill equiped to deal with it on your own, by all means, call the cops. But, we don't taddle on someone for doing the same thing that we're doing. I think we'd all dig it if you did some meditating and made a commitment to never help out the law bust other weed guys...ragrdless of how much of a dick they are. Join our team fully, and get out of the gray area. Be the guy that, if arrested, all your growing friends sleep soundly cause they have no doubt you will give the narcs nothing. The OP made a decision to front some meds and got burned. It happens. It's a bummer. With persistance, he may get his money...he may not.

collective gardener is right. YOU NEVER SNITCH! My ex was busted and I was threatened with a conspiracy charge if I didn't help the case. Not a word ever came out of my mouth. I was never charged and she got LESS time. You know what? It was my stuff she had and she NEVER SNITCHED ON ME! We kept our mouths shut.

The problem is that if people get it in their heads that it's ok to call the cops on each other, the result is just the cops having a field day busting people. Everyone loses. It may be a business deal to us and under state law, but to the cops it's all just drug dealing.

But I'm not going to give this guy too hard of a time since it's all hypothetical. He didn't actually call the cops on anyone.
