I have got 1700e Gavita LED fixtures and I’m trying to connect to a Trolmaster hydro x and I have no clue what I am doing. Any help is appreciated

I did some digging and I think the Gavita 1700e uses a 0 - 11.5 volt dimming signal and not the standard 0-10 volt.

So I suspect the lights would not operate at full intensity with a 10 volt "High" signal.

I suspect some sort of converter would be required to change the analog 0-10v to a 0-11.5 volt signal. Might be just as simple as a little op amp circuit. Aside from that it would likely be a matter of isolating which pair of conductors is required off the connector?

It would be easier if one had access to the gavita controller to reverse engineer the signal for dimming. They do have two different dimming systems, "Repeater Bus" and "Single Bus", I am not sure if they both use the same 0-11.5 volt signal. If I were confronting this issue personally then I would be trying to get some information from Gavita support, not sure how helpful they would be but I suspect that someone has asked this question before.

I got it to work. You just need a LMA 14 adaptor from TrolMaster and you must have the humidity sensors that comes with the hydro x for it to work

im trying to get this to work also, because ethernet off the gavitas won't fit into telephone jack of LMA14, are you using the Humidity sensor as a passthrough?

I’ve just ran into the same problem. I’ve had my ten gavita 1000 watt De linked up to the gavita EL1 controller, but now I want five of my lights linked up to the trolmaster to dial in half of my room’s plants. I already had the hydro x so there was no point in buying another gavita controller. I purchase the LMA14 and linked it up to the lights and nothing. I’ve been talking to their tech support on IG, but it hasnt been helpful so far.

I've connected 12 Gavita DEs to a trol master and you have to use the LMA 14 adapter as well. And keep the knob turned to EX. I am sure you know this if you have EL1.

one issue my buddy had was one of his ballasts was faulty and caused an issue and gavita had to send a dude out, but that was with the EL2 controller. If they are working off the gavita controller they should work off the LMA14 immediately.
Id say the LMA 14 adapter is faulty. Or you broke one of your phone cables between on accident try swapping lines at all?
