When it's 5-10% amber. Visible at different sites. Just use plain water at 30% run off until the plant hits the desired amber level.

I don't believe in flushing. Soil can be leeched but what's considered 'flushing' doesn't do what it's considered to accomplish.

Soil is a hell of a filter. If you add a layer of sand, gravel, and some charcoal. The run off would be drinkable.

The only thing that'll clean the soil is leeching and the plant itself. You can't wash dirt.

You have to give the plant time to use all that it can take up. Once the internal stores of nutrients are at their lowest. The plant is 'flushed'. It'll also go yellow which freaks some growers out.

People talk about it due to marketing and advertising. Just look at all of the "flushing" and "finishing" products that companies make. High Times started this mess decades ago to please their advertisers and "bro" science perpetuates the myth for inexperienced new growers.

I don't flush but feel free to if you'd like...after looking at the pics I'd say your plant has a ways to go though...3 weeks or so...all those pistols still need to recede...g/l

Why so much people do it and talk about it ? Seem like a big fight in the community
Some of the reason for the fighting about flushing IMO is that when someone makes a misdiagnosis and tells a person to flush, the misdiagnosis can cause severe problems for the grower.
Most do it with good intentions and some with bad intentions .
It is a big mistake to flush soil when a the grower is over watering and it is annoying when someone even with good intentions tells him to flush with very little info.
Happens all the time.
Here is one from 4 weeks ago.

Note the first person to respond tells him to flush. I only partly read the original post.
Doesn't matter to me what it says even if it looks like he should flush.
How can a 1st post start with flush your plant and notice the last line flush flush flush. It's even more annoying when the peep already thinking flush says OK I'll do it now.
I'm not saying that person wasn't trying to help, he probably was trying to help.
It's because it can make things a lot worse in some cases that gets helpers fired up.

looks like you have a couple weeks to go. Don't worry about flushing right now. Those buds look wimpy. Let them plump up as much as they can.
