I am currently growing 4 plants "G13 strain" and I was in questions to why my plants leaves are pointing upward, instead of lying horizontal. I have 2 100 watt CFL's with a primary blue spectrum. The lights are positioned asymmetrically with a equal distance above the plants, "about 2 1/2 inchs".
This picture should show you what I mean.

They are growing up because they have nowhere to grow out. Yet. What you see now is the inside of the seedling that is showing its leaves. All the new growth above what you see now is new plant growth and the beginning of their first internodes.

Once the plants grow up a few nodes, they'll then start to grow up and outward.

Good luck!!

Plant looks like it is having a wonderful start. Do yourself a favor and read up a little on growing, get the basics down. I prefer The Medical Marijuana indoor/outdoor grow bible, by Jorge Cervantes.

Thank you both. I am pleased to hear I'm in the right direction. One thing, these are 3 days old. I was also wondering how often I should water them. How would they do in a humid environment, like a 100 gallon upright glass box. I have been doing some test on two types of grass in a 30 gallon fish tank completely seal with about 200% humidity, and one seems grow at an extremely slow rate and is a very dark green, standing at around 1 1/2 inches after 13 days in this environment. where grass number 2 as grown to 6 inches in the same amount of time and is a very mild green.

other thing, if I put fresh cow shit in a tub of water, 1/2 ratio allow it to become a muddy substance and then screen it, would the resulting liquid be to strong in ammonia? Just a theoretical Q.

Did not realize I put that pic up like that.
Here are some better pics
