Need some help picking a strain

Im looking for a good strain that does not grow very tall and grows very large colas on top. Im going for a SOG setup. I'm looking for a good balance of potency and yeild, perfer potency over yeild. There are just so many strains and soo many seed banks and Thought I get opinons on both. And feel free to recommend a site to order from. This is not my first grow. I just haven't experimented alot with other strains. And should I go feminized or not and if so which seedbank has good feminized seeds. Also I was wondering if the strains under the outdoor section can be grown inside and what diffrence it makes if you do so. Thanks in Advance for your inputs.
 
I personally have some medijuana seeds from ams that have been growing great so far and 3 out of the 4 that popped are female. Green fan has a journal that is very close to harvest and it is the same strain, you should check it out.
 
As far as site to order from go with Attitude. Hands down they are the best.
Strain wise for a sog you probably want a single cola dominant strain or very Indica in nature especially since you want less height/Sativa dominant. Best Indica is usually Afghani heavy in the genetics. It's in all the great crosses.
But what kind of high are you looking for?
 
I can't speak to the Fem seeds. I've gone regular for most of my grows. Not interested in dealing with Hermis
 
I plan on going straight to flowering as soon as clones are rooted and want to keep it under 24inches if possible. Single cola dominant strain? Which strains are good for that? I don't wanna deal with hermis either. And do you reccommend a seed bank? and which ones are like best of the best? thanks
 
So after some reading I've chosen to go with White Russian from serious seeds. If anyone's ever grown this I would appreciate some input.

Chronic - Serious Seeds: Grows a single huge central bud with few side branches. I've read reviews putting it above White Widow on quality of high. Serious' highest yielding strain.

Feminized seeds are less sexually stable than regular seeds.

A larger percentage of the plants from feminized seeds are going to closely resemble the mother, much more than would resemble the parents from regular seed.

If you top your plants from regular seed you can get the clone sexed before you put the mother into flower. Takes a lot of work out of growing male plants into flower. Not as easy as Feminized seeds but it's a mid step.

If you're going to clone you want the most stable mother.

Serious does not offer feminized seeds.

i like afghan. easy to grow, clone, stays short, mostly one large cola, and little to no smell. pretty potent too ;-)
 
I just ordered Cindy 99 from mosca seeds off the farm.These seeds are supposed to be the HOLY GRAIL of weed.Green Crack is also comming this week from the cali connection,.Im tired of these Dutch seeds. If you want power look on the farm

If so, what are the chances? and Which genetics should I go with to avoid that at all cost...I mean does anyon know of any fem seeds that are more likely to go hermie then others? . I would prefer fem seeds but I'm willing to go through the sexing process to get really good genes. Second... Alot of people have been saying to go with an Afghani dominant strain or "AFGHANI" but there's so many out there ... I get unsure about which one to pick. anyone reccomend a particular one? this is going to be an AERO SOG setup...

Only if the moms are hermies. Plants from feminized seeds are mostly sexually stable, if you get a plant from seed and a confirming clone that hermie then chop your mother. The clones will be exact genetic copies of the mother.

I've had piss poor luck with feminized but most reports are positive.

I can only tell you who I had bad luck with, and those breeders could be fine by now. I have no opinion on feminized seeds other than I won't be buying any for a while. The upside of fem seeds is that the plants from seed are much more uniform than plants from regular seeds - translation: with feminized seeds you get a better chance of getting that great pheno that they used for the parent than you would from regular seeds.

If cost is no object and you're looking for a heavy indica stone, like from an afghani, I'd look strongly at Endless Sky by Dr Greenthumb: 42 day flower pheno, 500 g/m2 SOG, some say the most potent indica they've had.

I've grown two of Greenthumb's strains and I'll order Endless Sky when I want that heavy potent stone.
