Neighbors/smell problem help?

he says he has no windows in his garage so exhaust is not really an option. i see a scrubber as his only option really.

That is basically my set up except from a dehumidifier and humidifier which I have no pics of so I’m now doubting I have negative pressure inside the tent, what could I add to this to help? I’m a newbie so I’m still heavily learning

There are two kinds of rhino filter, pro and hobby and you want pro.
I would get an 8" filter for a 6" fan. It will do the job much longer.

If you really want to go all out put a filter at both ends.

recycling air is part of the issue though, if 5% of air is getting though uncleaned then it continues to stink, but the main problem is undersized filter and possibly secondary problem been RH spikes stopping your filter working but you are already at a major disadvantage undersizing the filter.

Its all well and good calling neighbours pricks for complaining but at the end of the day what would you do if you were anti weed and it was the other way around.

I had a problem with my old neighbour pumping stinking air under his floor which filled my house, stupid cunt was fucking up my operation which was 100% smell proof. I had neighbours knocking on my door asking if it was me.

It isn't acceptable to stink other peoples property out.

If you don't have an intake then you have negative pressure.

Doesn't matter if your walls don't suck in.

I would get a bigger filter and get a low cfm 4" fan, use the old 4" filter and new 4" fan in the garage scrubbing independently as well as your main fan and bigger filter in the tent.

Does your fan have a low level option? you can reduce level of fan to solve this problem. you have 2 option

1- reduce level of fan
2- get bigger filter

RVK fans don’t have a reduction switch only way to control an RVK is with a speed controller.

hmm ı never use those noisy fans, ı have s&p TD silent . yes also he can buy speed controller much cheaper than buy a new filter.

But the fan he’s using is required for his tent to exchange and cool the area. So speed controlling it downward would hinder his temperature control.

I'm thinking of buying a Rhino 6 in 150mmx 300mm@ 600m3/hr can anyone recommend these? I also have another question the fan it comes with looks like an input fan? Or can it be used for extraction, which is what I need it for. Forgive me, I haven't grown for 6 years, just starting again from fresh and don't want any odour issues. I use an A1 RVK with 900mm rhino pro.

You need a bigger Carbon filter and keeping the duckting straight makes it more efficient at moving the air. Shame you cant knock a small hole in the wall and fit a vent in to let the air out so it doesn't build up.

I have zero mould issues in 11 years.

I have soffit vents all along my roof line and venting plates between felting inside which opens the felting to create air movement.

As for your fan filter question.

the 6” kit comes with an 800m3/h fan regardless of which filter you chose.

the filters are rated at 150x300=600m3/h and 150x600= 900m3/h

If the filter is rated less than the fan the filter will not clean the air effectively so the the only viable choice there would be the 150x600 as the fan is 800m3/h.

I love my rhino pro 150x600, I hardly ever run my system at 100% and my filter has lasted an exceedingly long time with my 460m3/h fan.

Also I think my filter is the 600 not the 900 like I quoted.

it’s the 900m3/h version which is 600mm long.

Charcoal then Ozone & control the air pressure if the air pressure is too high +++ it will leave the room before the charcoal can pick it up, it will push the sent out of a pinhole yet I could not grow without OZONE above the grow room. Ozone destroys all Scent they even use it in cars people died in. But like anything you need to know how to dial it in, like the generator needs fresh air to make more of it.

Wash those filters' cover weekly with soapy water. I did one run and end of week 7 with a 6" it started reeking found the issue was outer fabric clogged with shit ,dust etc. If you move the hanging straps n it white where they were hanging it needs a wash

I've also looked at this Rhino Pro Carbon Filter 8 Inch 200 X 400mm 800M3/Hr
And this Systemair RVK 150mm 6" L1 New IEC Model 4 5 6
So the Carbon Filter is an 8 Inch and the extraction fan is 6 inch would this work or do they both have to be 6 inch?

I had my friend put together a diy ONA bucket. Took a 5 gal bucket, drilled 30 holes or so top in the top half of the bucket all along the circumference. Bought some soil moist (available at most hydro/hardware stores) and a gallon of ona. Mixed that in the bucket. Bought a small Honeywell fan to suck air into the bucket from the top and pushes out the scented ona from the holes in the bucket. I know there are threads with a (better) description of this contraption. Been running it for a month or so. Have to re-up the water-ona mixture every couple days. Works quite well, can't smell the grow from outside the room. You can adjust the ONA depending on the level of smell ur plants are producing. Hope this idea helps. Happy Growin' mate
