awesome.......thanks for the help guys.........going to check out now.
A lot of movies and shows (especially newer ones) aren't available for streaming, real big drawback imo. And out of curiosity, how often do you watch movies on your phone, only time I see that being useful would be like on an airplane.i get no dvd's. i simply stream it all.
i noticed the "auto pay" feature when i signed up. i'll make sure to "cancel" my membership when i want out.

haha ya your know what im talking about...Aside from the selection issues, you also don't have as much control over the picture quality. The torrents are available usually 3 months or more ahead of netflix's shipping selection. Their streaming titles aren't even close as far as selection.
yeah, there is the auto renew. but give them a call, tell them the situation, and they will likely refund up to 6 months. just tell them calmly you've spoken to your bank who has agreed to do a chargeback for 6 months if netflix does not refund them. it costs them more to deal with a chargeback than to do a refund.Three years ago, I got a years worth of free netflix from a relative for Christmas. I got it hooked up, but back then they didn't really have the streaming capabilities, it was all by mail. Anyways, like 2 months ago I realized that I've been being billed for it this whole time. Like, it was in the fine print somewhere that when the gift certificate expires they just tap into your bank. That's when I decided to NEVER give Netflix another dollar. But now I want it again.
I just rent 1 movie a month from netflix just for the streaming. I love it........I still have the first DVD from 6 months ago I havent sent back LOL
get high speed internet and i doubt you will worry about the 20 minutes to dl a movie...smoke an L and its done...I still download torrents of stuff I want to see but the whole 8 bucks a month it cost is worth it for not having to deal with finding a torrent for everything and waiting on it to download. And with Netflix, I find a lot of stuff that I would never think about to download. As far as the quality, I've got a 3mbps dsl connection and I usually get three bars, but if I'm not surfing the net I'll get four which is high def for the shows offered in high def.
agreed lmao6 mbps is as fast as it gets where I'm at. Even with faster internet it's still worth it for 8 bucks. And I don't have to hear my wife bugging me to download stuff for her.
