Another thought, I have been able to keep them so low, I was thinking about repotting and letting them go another 2 weeks, upwards though. Got plenty of room in the tent, what do you reckon?

Re-potted them today, They were so getting very root bound so moved them into 15" pots for the long road ahead. Will give them a couple more days to re adjust to the pots before switching, don't want to stress them too much.

Yeh It's vertical growth though when they're stretching. I've got a tonne of vertical room left. Got a space cleared in the garage now, heater has arrived so I'll set that on an alternative timer and have it blowing towards one of the passive intakes.

Tent has been moved into the garage, switch flipped to 600W and the HPS bulb is in. Lights come on at 7pm tonight :D

Ahhhh I see. I'm hoping they'll show their haze traits then lol. That's good to know as I just got my OG Kush beans in the mail today. As soon as these two have finished drying in the tent, I'll start germing a Lowryder 2, Auto-AK47, Trainwreck and OG kush beans so I can veg the kush and Trainwreck while the autos complete their cycle. Might be able to squeeze in another run after that before uni, we'll see!

Good luck on your grow! There's something called Bushmaster by Humboldt's Own

it's some kind of hormone or something that reportedly stops the vertical growth at transition to flower. I've heard Zander on The Grow Report podcast talk about using it and he seems to know what he's talking about. I'm going to try Arjan's Haze #3 in a tent after the current batch and I'm going to use Bushmaster to keep the plant from out-growing the available vertical space.

Now that your light is air-cooled, get it as low as you can. If your hand is comfortable with the temperature at the top of the plants they will be fine. You can't give them too much light, only too much heat from the bulb.

Good luck!

!
I'm sorry but that is incorrect. I have definitely given my plants to much light with my aircooled 600w. Light Bleaching can occur and will stress out your plants
Here is a chart

Nice strawberry dude! Good luck on people not posting on your grow pics! Some people I tell ya :)
I like the close ups on your LST. Sometimes I just need to see a good LST to ease my mind for when I do it.

Cheers mate, I've got it about 18" from the canopy just because I know they're gonna stretch like crazy this week so I don't want them to reach the light and burn themselves.

Haha, tell me about it. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the end on one page so that people can just click on that link and see the whole grow at once. You not done LST yet? Honestly, it is so easy. Just make sure you have some decent anchor points on the pot.

I like that for a grow journal no sifting through pics. Yes I did LST but It did not turn out the way I wanted the growth just got to crazy to LST 7 plants at first, but this time around I'm Just gonna put screws in around the 5gal bucket for something to tie down to then later scog is going down. I must grow SLH I've heard so many good things and comes highly recommended!

Why Lst? It seems to make more sense just puting more seeds within smaller pots in your grow space. Less work; plus you are not placing any stress on the plant.

On the SLH theres a few leaves that are curling under. Not dropping like they are overwatered but curling down each side of the leaf so they look like little tubes. Anybody shed some light? Could be the repotting but the strawberry haze is fine and its only a few leaves.

What a dumbass I have been. I was waiting for the soil to dry out but it only felt damp because it was a little cool. Gave them a heavy watering last night and swapped them over so the SLH isnt getting fried by the heater. She looks much better today. In a few days I'm sure she will be back normal. Don't want to do a picture update yet because they haven't even started popping out too many pistils yet. Slow ass haze strains :D

I was gonna say the same. I have the exact same tent but i'm dumb and the cooltube i have was too large to fit horizontal so had to switch to vertical hah. Even with the cooltube attached to my 280cfm it still gets around 78-80 degrees in there. If you are going to get a cooltube or air cooled hood make sure to measure first so you have room for the hood plus extra room for ducting.

heres my DR80 tent set up. Its very tight in there I may have to reconstruct on my next grow heh

Lol, that is pretty cramped. Have you not thought about upgrading to the 1x1x2m tent? Might be worth it so you can get the most out of your light.

Because I'm in the garage now, the temps haven't been above 4 degrees for a week now so I have to actually heat the tent ... even with the light on! I think I could ditch the cooltube and still run at cool temps in there. Wouldn't be able to get the light as close though.

Everything looks great man definitely like the setup! As far as letting them grow up, remember the point of LST is to keep them as low as possible encouraging every growth site to become a main cola with light intensity diminishing minimally throughout the plant. I wanted to let my plants strech a week before flowering on my current grow and Im glad someone advised against it. When I started flowering the plants were probably 6 or 7 inches tall and now my all of my colas are 5-8 inches long, incredibly stable and I can see them developing all the way to their base. I would strongly advise tying your plant as low as possible spreading out the colas evenly instead of letting it grow up if you plan on vegging another week or two. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work im subbed +rep
